It may be a while before we know when Bridgerton‘s fourth season will arrive, but the stars are keeping fans informed on production progress with some sweet behind-the-scenes updates with the latest coming in the form of a Polin-centric selfie.

Stars Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton treated fans to a tease of their return as Penelope and Colin Bridgerton for the upcoming chapter of Netflix‘s Shondaland hit. In an image posted originally to Coughlan’s Instagram story, and reshared on Newton’s own, the onscreen duo posed for a selfie that Coughlan captioned, “New Year, same hoodie.”

The hoodie Coughlan appears to be wearing is a reference to a previous social media post shared in December 2022 which celebrated “#ChampagneFriday” while filming Season 3. At the time, Coughlan shared a selfie of herself and Newton in matching sweatshirts alongside the crew who also donned the leisurewear with the caption, “#ChampageFriday – now with merch, I made these jumpers, graphic design is my passion.”

Coughlan and Newton’s new selfie is certainly a sweet treat for fans of Season 3’s leading couple, who will be back for more fun in Season 4 as the series shifts focus to the newest leading couple, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Bridgerton is based on Julia Quinn’s books, the series focuses on the romances of the titular family’s siblings.

As previously teased by Coughlan, now that Penelope and Colin have found their happy ending, more light-hearted moments await as she teased in a recent interview that the pair will have more intimate moments in Season 4 as well as include storylines with their “crazy cute” baby, Lord Featherington who was introduced in Season 3’s final moments.
