Nicki Minaj went off on a fan after she made a shady comment about the rap star’s husband, which resulted in a social media user accusing Nicki of “losing it.”
The exchange began when Minaj shared a photo of herself with her husband on their son’s birthday, prompting one of her followers to respond, “Only you could make your child birthday about a man.”
This set the superstar rapper off, resulting in a multi-paragraph response that included her current streaming stats, flexed her financial status and concluded with, “That was fun.”
Upon seeing her reply, a different social media user took a screenshot of the long message from Minaj and shared it to X in a now-viral post, writing, “Sorry, I don’t care what anyone says, this isn’t normal. Nicki’s out here writing bs essays and projecting her insecurities onto other people. She’s lost it.”
The person continued: “She seriously needs a REAL friend in her life. As much as I dislike her, I can’t understand why someone as successful as she is would be so insecure about her achievements. She needs someone to remind her of her worth and get that ankle monitor-wearing man out of her life. Like I said, even though I’ve grown to dislike her, I won’t deny that she’s one of the most iconic female rappers. But her behavior is terrible, and it’s sad to see us losing a rap legend.”
Before the unsavory exchange, Nicki Minaj shared a softer side of her personality by posting a number of intimate moments with her son Papa Bear in celebration of his 4th birthday.
Uploading a number of pictures and videos to Instagram on Monday (September 30) to mark the occasion, the Young Money rapper and her husband Kenneth Petty can be seen enjoying some precious family time.
She captioned the sweet post: “Dear #PapaBear, Happy 4th birthday, buddy. You’ve made mama & daddy so happy. Since you were in mama’s tummy, you gave me a whole new meaning to life. Hope.
“May God watch over you always & guide your path. No weapon formed against you will prosper. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”
Nicki Minaj has only sparingly shared images and details of Papa Bear (including his real name) since his birth in September 2020, preferring to keep her family life private.
