After lots of teasing, we’re seeing movement on 50 Cent’s documentary which will follow the alleged indiscretions of Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs.
Netflix officially took over the production, acquiring the rights. Alexandria Stapleton is directing the project which 50 Cent began teasing on his social media as the allegations against Diddy grew. As the news of the acquisition broke, 50 Cent wrote on his Instagram, “I been telling y’all about all this weird shit, I don’t do NO puffy party’s. you didn’t believe me but I bet you believe me now!,” adding in an additional post: “Only 250 million people watching Netflix this is a pretty good deal who’s idea was this LOL.”

Alexandria said in a statement to Variety: “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

50 Cent is taking lead on the documentary as it’s being created through his G-Unit Film & Television company. The rapper has consistently spoken out against Diddy as he was hit with a myriad of lawsuits accusing him of, among other things, rape and sexual assault, starting with that of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
As the accusations continued to trickle in, Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security where they allegedly found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube. A federal indictment then alleged that Diddy was connected to an ongoing sex trafficking investigation, including accusations that he was hosting “freak off” events which included nonconsensual sexual interactions and copious amounts of drugs.
Diddy now remains behind bars at a Brooklyn detention center as he awaits trial after being arrested in New York. His attorneys originally asked the judge to grant him the ability to get out of jail on a bond during his arraignment hearing. However, the prosecutors expressed concern that he could be a flight risk. While the defense attorneys laid out a plan, which included Diddy surrendering his passport, the judge denied the request.
Diddy continues to “vehemently” deny all allegations against him.
