Megan Thee Stallion‘s new documentary shows the star revisiting an extremely difficult decision — to take her mother Holly Thomas off of life support after Thomas was declared brain-dead following what Meg called “a series of seizures.”

In the film Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, the star describes her mother’s 2019 decline and passing, which she says left her “in shambles.”

“They had to put her under. She was just brain dead,” Megan says in the doc, per People. “So I stayed up there every day. I was spending the night at the hospital. I just was praying that she could shake back from it.
