French-American rapper and social media starLucas Coly, was found dead on Wednesday, October 2 at his Las Vegas home but what exactly is the cause of death for the talented 27-year-old?

The Clark County Office of the Corner and Medical Examiner confirmed that the youngster committed suicide after shooting himself in the head, just one day after his manager emotionally revealed his death.

“Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro,” Coly’s manager wrote on social media. “My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.

“Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There’s a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans.

“So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don’t know what to do now. I’d be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same.”

The confirmation came after fans became highly concerned for his wellbeing following a social media post in which he uploaded an orange emoji over a black screen with a caption, “I love y’all.”

He leaves behind a girlfriend, named as Amber, as the manager called for people to respect her privacy as she grieves the loss of her partner as well as encouraging people to check in on their friends and family.

Who was Lucas Coly?

Coly was born in France but migrated to the United States when he was eight years old, going on to create a successful social media channel on YouTube along with his girlfriend although it has been inactive since 2022.

Known for I Just Wanna, he aimed to transition into a career in music and his lyrics were often unique through their incorporation of his native French language and mastery of English.

“Most of the time people don’t know I speak French because I don’t just tell people,” Coly told DJ Smallz Eyes in 2017. “Sometimes they ask me where I’m from, and I say, ‘Well, I was born in France, but I really grew up in the United States.'”
