Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James finally made himself available to the media during the All-Star weekend, and it didn’t disappoint.
James finally broke the silence about the rumors that the Lakers trade for Luka Doncic could extend his career.

ESPN NBA Insider Dave McMenamin reported a few weeks ago about this.
James was asked about it and revealed that he hadn’t thought about it. The Lakers star also revealed that he is very excited about the addition of Doncic to the team.
“No I haven’t thought about that. Just the excitement to be able to add a caliber of player like that. It’s given me energy. Just excited to see what we can do…I think we can be really good going down the stretch.”

James has hinted about retirement in each of the last few years, and it remains to be seen when he will retire. Many believe James will play for one more season after this year, ending his career at 23 years in the league.
However, the addition of Doncic, a 25-year-old superstar, could change things. Doncic will help take pressure off of James during games, so he may not need to exert as much energy.
James’ longevity is unlike anything we have seen before, and he is still going strong. Despite being in his 22nd season, James continues to dominate on the court and still looks like a top player in the NBA.
The Lakers currently sit in fifth place within the Western Conference and have won eight of their last ten games. Los Angeles has put itself into a strong position to succeed this season, and they will likely have some say in how the West shakes out this year.
