The music world was left in shock as news of 27-year-old rapper Lucas Coly’s death by suicide was confirmed on Oct 3, 2024.

The French-American artist, best known for his viral hit “I Just Wanna,” tragically passed away in Las Vegas.

His death was confirmed by the Clark County Coroner’s Office the following day.

Coly, who rose to fame on Vine before expanding his music career, posted a cryptic farewell on Instagram just hours before his passing, writing, “I love y’all,” which left fans and loved ones in disbelief.

In a heart-wrenching moment, Coly’s girlfriend, social media influencer Amber H., revealed during an emotional Instagram Live that she was on the phone with him when he took his own life.

“I did everything I could to keep him here,” Amber tearfully shared, recalling the devastating moment. “I screamed… I said, no, no, no, he did it.”

Her anguish was palpable as she recounted the helplessness she felt during the call, urging her mother to dial 911.

Coly’s manager, devastated by the loss, expressed his grief in a now-deleted post, saying:

“There’s a hole in my heart right now… being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here.”

The rapper’s death has left his fans, friends, and collaborators mourning, with many taking to social media to pay tribute.

Fellow Vine star Demetrius Harmon posted a touching tribute, saying, “Rest up my boy,” accompanied by pictures of the two together.

Lucas Coly’s death is a painful reminder of the importance of mental health and the need to reach out for help in moments of despair.
