Unless, you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you’ll know that Bridgerton fans have been absolutely feral after the latest season finally dropped on Netflix.

While we were all very excited to tune into the first part of the third season and be reunited once again with the Bridgerton family tree, there were two characters Netflix viewers were particularly buzzing to catch up on – friends-to-lovers Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, played by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan.

OK, so we already know all about the hefty bunch of very steamy scenes, Nicola getting ‘very naked’ on set and the incredibly hot and heavy carriage scene, which got so intense the two stars ended up breaking furniture.

Fans have even found an alternative way to spice up your viewing experience at home, with many claiming it’s left them utterly ‘unwell’.

And the latest buzz online sees Bridgerton lovers spotting an adorable detail after Nicola posted a selfie with her on-screen beau, Luke.

The 37-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a black and white picture of herself and Luke at a restaurant having some drinks.

She captioned the pic: “45 mil in 5 days?! We celebrating @lukenewtonuk,” referring to the fact the TV show hit a very impressive 45 million views in its debut weekend.

The mirror pic, however, showed that Nicola had a polaroid photo of what appeared to be herself and Luke on ‘full display’ in her phone case – a detail many fans are losing their minds over.

One X, formerly Twitter, user reposted a screenshot of the story with the caption: “Mirror pic on a date with the polaroid in full display THEY’RE NEVER GOING TO BEAT THE ALLEGATIONS.”

The post has since prompted a whole lot of speculation from Bridgerton fans shipping the two stars together.

“They are not even trying to,” replied one, while a second quipped: “This is basically a confirmation I don’t even care anymore.”

A third admitted: “I just wish she doesn’t find any other place for that polaroid photo anywhere else.”

“Now I just want them to confirm everything!!” revealed a fourth.

Another claimed: “They know what they are doing… Nicola knows what we will think about this lol I take that as a sign.”

And a final Twitter user hailed the snap as ‘so stinking cute’.

Well, that’s indisputable.
