Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update: Three months after Nancy Guthrie mysteriously disappeared from her Tucson home, an emotional Mother’s Day message placed outside her residence has once again brought national attention to the ongoing investigation. The handwritten appeal, directed at the suspected kidnapper, urged them to think about their own mother and reveal where the missing 84-year-old woman is.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie, vanished from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson on February 1. Investigators believe she was abducted overnight, but despite months of investigation involving the FBI and local authorities, no suspect has been publicly identified so far.

The emotional message was reportedly placed at the memorial site outside Nancy Guthrie’s home by a local supporter who has been actively maintaining the tribute area for months.

“Your mom would be ashamed if she knew what you did. So before you take her flowers on Mother’s Day, TAKE NANCY HOME, or tell the family where she is…” the sign read.

The message attempted to appeal directly to the suspected abductor by asking them to think about their own mother and family during Mother’s Day weekend. The message quickly spread across social media platforms as supporters of the Guthrie family renewed calls for information in the case.

Who Put Up the Mother’s Day Message?

A woman identified as Lauren Serpa later claimed responsibility for placing the sign outside Guthrie’s home. According to her social media posts, Serpa said she planned to continue displaying messages and maintaining the memorial site until Nancy Guthrie is found.

Serpa earlier explained that she personally knew Nancy Guthrie and remained emotionally connected to her after Guthrie supported her through a difficult period following her fiancé’s death in 2015.

“Nancy needs to be found for the family,” Serpa reportedly said.
