SH0CKING ROYAL DRAMA: William & Catherine DEAL HUGE Blow to Harry & Meghan — Sussexes’ Hopes of UK Return “Completely Extinguished”

Princess Kate and Prince William handed huge win as Meghan and Harry suffer fresh blow

The news comes as Prince Harry deals with the fallout of his dramatic split from his Sentebale charity

Princess Kate and Prince William have been handed a massive boost as it was revealed they remain by far the most popular royals in Britain.

The news came at the expense of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who found themselves languishing near the bottom of a new favourability poll.

Fresh data from YouGov has illuminated how Britons truly feel about those within the royal fold, ranking 20 figures on support among members of the public.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have retained their enduring support among the nation’s public, topping the list in both men and women, and across all age groups.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have topped the royal popularity charts among Britons

William has become the most popular member of the Royal Family, with a huge 74 per cent of the public backing him.

Kate was close behind, ranking second with 71 per cent of respondents seeing her positively.

The couple also saw very low negative ratings, with just 17 per cent disapproving of William and 14 per cent of Kate.

Across the Atlantic, the poll spelt further gloom for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who continue to sink in popularity.Meghan Markle, Prince Harry

Harry and Meghan found themselves languishing at the bottom of the list

Only 28 per cent of people have a positive view of the Duke of Sussex, with even fewer expressing support for the Duchess of Sussex, whose approval stands at just 20 per cent.

These grim numbers were matched by overwhelming negative responses, with a massive 67 per cent disapproving of Meghan and 62 per cent similarly unhappy with Harry.

YouGov described the results as a “little different” from its previous survey in May, although the Duchess’s figure remains the joint-lowest on record.

The Sussexes found themselves only beating Prince Andrew in the rankings, with only five per cent thinking of King Charles’s disgraced brother positively.Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew remained at rock bottom of the list, with 87 per cent disapproving of the Duke

This was compared with the overwhelming 87 per cent of Britons who disapproved of the Duke of York.

However, one silver lining for Harry and Meghan could be found in the opinions of younger respondents.

One-third of people aged between 18 and 24 had a positive view of Harry, compared to only 17 per cent of those over 65.

These numbers were repeated with Meghan, with 25 per cent of young people backing her compared to just 10 per cent of their older counterparts.

The research also pointed to concerns about younger generations’ attitudes towards the monarchy.

While 60 per cent of Britons overall think the nation is better off with a monarchy, support drops significantly among younger groups.

Just 36 per cent of 18-24-year-olds believe the monarchy is good for the country.

Among the over-65s, 81 per cent support keeping the monarchy – a figure that falls to just 41 per cent among the youngest cohort.
