Adam Peaty’s ‘distraught’ mother Caroline has been spotted the day after her son got married to his wife Holly Ramsay without her in attendance
Adam Peaty’s “distraught” mother Caroline has been seen for the first time since her son’s lavish wedding to Holly Ramsay — a ceremony she was painfully absent from after being uninvited amid a bitter family fallout.

Just a day after more than 200 guests packed Bath Abbey to watch Olympic hero Adam, 31, marry Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, 25, Caroline was spotted leaving her family home in Staffordshire. Wrapped tightly in a cream coat and scarf, the former nursery manager looked visibly downcast as she headed out to visit her own mother, Mavis.

Only hours earlier, Caroline’s husband Mark had also been pictured close to their Uttoxeter home, walking the dog in an eye-catching orange coat and winter hat. The sighting came after claims that Mark had, in fact, been invited to the wedding — but was told he could only sit at the back of the church, behind plus-ones.
Caroline revealed to the Daily Mail that she has been left heartbroken over missing her son’s wedding, telling us the couple have ‘no idea much they’ve hurt her’
A family source told The Sun on Sunday:
“Frankly, it’s disgusting that the wedding went ahead without Adam reaching out to his mum and dad beforehand. Caroline got upset as soon as she saw the photographs from the day. To tell Beth that his dad could attend but only sit behind plus-ones Adam probably doesn’t even know is awful.”

Despite the turmoil, Adam’s sister Bethany stood by the bride, serving as one of Holly’s bridesmaids alongside Tana Ramsay and her daughters Tilly and Megan.
Caroline later spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, fighting back tears as she admitted the toll the snub has taken.
A source said: ‘Mark was told he could sit behind plus-ones — who Adam has probably never even seen or spoken to’
“I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me,” she said quietly. “It’s as if they have cut my heart out. This is the first Christmas I’ve not had my family together. My family is broken.”
The family chose to spend the wedding evening together instead, trying to comfort Caroline as images from the glittering celebration flooded social media.
Adam’s estranged brother James has shared a pointed message with a ‘dark hidden meaning’ to his sibling after being uninvited to his wedding
Meanwhile, Adam’s estranged brother James added fuel to the drama by briefly posting — then deleting within 15 minutes — an old photograph of himself with Caroline standing outside Bath Abbey. The image was paired with a remix of Speak Softly, Love from The Godfather, leading many to speculate the song choice carried a symbolic message about power, exclusion and betrayal.
According to new reports, Adam’s father Mark was the only person asked to attend their big day, however he was told he’d have to sit at the back ‘behind the plus ones’ (pictured Mark Peaty, Caroline Peaty and Adam)

James, who was previously arrested over allegations he sent threatening messages to Adam during his stag do in Budapest, has since wiped his Instagram page clean.

The breakdown in relations has played out in painfully public fashion. Adam’s parents were left at home 150 miles away while he exchanged vows inside the 7th-century abbey. In place of his family, Adam’s swimming coach Melanie Marshall delivered a reading during the wedding breakfast, while Holly’s parents Gordon and Tana were deeply involved — Gordon walking his daughter down the aisle.

Tensions reportedly first erupted after Holly’s glamorous hen do earlier this year, which Caroline was not invited to. She was at home caring for Adam’s five-year-old son George from a previous relationship, while photographs showed Holly celebrating with friends, the Ramsay family and Victoria Beckham.
In what was seen by some as a display of defiance against her family, Bethany linked arms with Holly’s eldest sister as they entered the abbey carrying white arum lilies
Caroline later revealed she had gently messaged Holly to express her disappointment that Adam’s wider family were not included in the engagement party at Soho Farmhouse last December. She insists the wording was polite — but Adam was furious.

Since then, sources close to the Ramsays have pointed to “wider problems” within the Peaty family, including what they describe as “horrible threats” directed at Adam and Holly, prompting police involvement and a reported security escort for the swimmer on his return from Budapest.
There were even reports that some family members flew a Union Jack upside down outside their Staffordshire home — a recognised symbol of distress — in what many interpreted as a silent protest.

Caroline admits the distance between her and her son has felt like a slow, painful pulling away. Just months ago, when Adam proposed with a £23,000 yellow diamond ring, she had believed everything was fine.
“Family has always been the centre of my life,” she said. “You can imagine the hurt this has caused me.”
As Adam and Holly begin their married life surrounded by celebrity friends — including David and Victoria Beckham — Caroline remains at home, grappling with a Christmas unlike any she has ever known.
