Donald Trump’s second State visit to the UK is in full swing, with the US President delivering a compliment to the Princess of Wales, a lip reader has revealed.
Charles and Camilla greeted Mr Trump and First Lady Melania while a Royal salute from First World War-era cannons boomed on Windsor Castle’s east lawn and at the Tower of London, the Express reported.
After the guard of honour ceremony, the King and the President were snapped laughing together, with the American leader stating “thanks very much” repeatedly.
The King then travelled alongside Mr Trump in a carriage procession through the Windsor Estate. The Queen, meanwhile, accompanied Melania in a separate coach.
Mr Trump’s arrival at the Windsor estate occurred at 12.14pm, running 20 minutes behind the anticipated schedule.
Despite receiving a highly respectful reception for his second official state visit, not all Brits were thrilled about President Trump’s arrival, with artist Maya Kar making a bold statement in Windsor.
Earlier today, Kar took to the streets to display a provocative painting that portrays Mr Trump as a prehistoric “stone age savage” who has abducted a child-like King Charles from Windsor Castle.
Kar didn’t hold back in his critique of Mr Trump, stating: “He don’t know anything. He will just come and act like a[n] idiot. And make a mess.
“Make us [Brits] embarrassed and go.”
Tonight, President Trump is set to attend a lavish state banquet, reminiscent of his 2019 experience when he dined with the late Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace during his inaugural state visit to the UK.
