SH0CK! Prince Harry Could Be STRIPPED of Royal Titles After Mocking T.r.u.m.p on Live TV — Americans Furious!: ‘British Prince In-sulting Their Head of State’

Prince Harry should be stripped of his titles after Trump-mocking Colbert appearance to bring ‘clarity’ to Americans who just see a ‘British prince insulting their head of state’

Prince Harry should be stripped of his title to bring ‘clarity’ to Americans who believe he speaks for the Royal Family, says one expert on the House of Windsor.

This follows Harry’s cringeworthy appearance on a US talk show on Wednesday night during which he put his father the King in a diplomatic chokehold by taking pot-shots at President Trump.

‘I think the Royal Family has no real choice,’ says Tom Sykes, editor of the Royalist newsletter on Substack.

‘Harry believes he’s free to speak his mind now that he’s no longer a working royal,’ says Sykes. ‘I think if he were truly living as Harry Wales, private citizen, that argument would hold water.

‘But he isn’t Harry Wales. He’s Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. And in the American imagination, he still carries the full aura of a prince — a representative of the monarchy.

‘A global audience does not grasp that Harry isn’t still a part of the Windsor family business.

‘Charles and William may be hundreds of miles away in Balmoral or Windsor, but in the American mind they are standing just offstage as Harry delivers his punchlines.’

And because of that Skykes says, most American viewers will see ‘simply see a British prince insulting their head of state’.

‘The titles must be removed, not as punishment but for clarity. Removing them draws a clear blue line between Prince Harry the royal and Harry the private citizen. It protects the monarchy from his volatility.’

Appearing for no discernible reason on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harry called Trump an ‘elected King’, mocked his legal battles with American television networks and bizarrely lip-synced a Great British Bake Off meme.

This comes as London and Washington work together to plan King Charles’ expected state visit to the United States next year after Trump’s unprecedented second state visit earlier this year.

Grinning alongside Colbert, a man the royals apparently cannot stand after he joked about Kate Middleton’s disappearance from public life amid her cancer fight, Harry was making his second appearance on the iconic show.

And Sykes believes this time was a crucial moment for Harry in the years since he ceased to be a working royal after leaving with wife Meghan in the so-called Megxit.

‘He either doesn’t understand the danger he walked into last night, or he simply no longer cares, having developed a craving for the spotlight and for applause that overwhelms caution, context, and even self-preservation,’ explains Sykes.

Living in his $14m Montecito mansion with Meghan and Lilibet and Archie, Sykes says that Harry’s motivations for Wednesday night are unclear.

Indeed, even though he is married to American Meghan and both his children are dual citizens Prince Harry is still living as a guest of the United States on a visa.

And Sykes feels the moment Harry waded into America’s cultural anxieties regarding Trump, deportation and creeping authoritarianism last night, was ‘foolish and reckless’.

‘I believe Harry thought he was being clever, tossing off a cheeky wink across the Atlantic. Instead, he plunged headlong into America’s defining fear,’ says Sykes.

‘This at a time when the Trump administration is reportedly cancelling visas for people who merely criticize conservative influencers, a moment when political deviation — even trivial deviation — can be treated as grounds for removal.’

Sykes believes that Harry should have been more careful with his cute comedy routine alongside Colbert, especially considering his own residency and visa have been weaponised politically.

‘He has been threatened with deportation himself,’ explains Sykes.

‘Trump’s allies have openly tried to weaponise his drug disclosures in his memoir Spare to force the release of his visa records, arguing he should never have been admitted to the US.

‘Against that backdrop, his decision to publicly mock a famously thin-skinned US president feels almost destructive.’

Harry’s TV appearance was broadcast as the Daily Mail exclusively revealed that Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas is fighting for his life in intensive care in the Philippines after undergoing emergency surgery.

In addition to mocking Trump as an ‘elected king’, Harry skewered the President with a reference to the ‘No Kings’ protests, which saw millions march across the United States in opposition to Trump and his administration.

Harry also criticised CBS for settling a ‘baseless’ lawsuit with the President and claimed the US are ‘obsessed with royalty’.

Harry who joined the liberal comedian for a Christmas sketch about being a prince in a Hallmark movie boasted of his wife’s showbusiness connections, that he can ride a horse and fly a helicopter.

Meghan Markle trailed his appearance on the Late Show with an Instagram video, which showed his cringeworthy Great British Bake Off lip sync.

On Wednesday, it was revealed Markle’s estranged father Thomas was unwell in the Philippines after undergoing three hours of surgery after falling ill at home.

Thomas Markle, 81, who has been estranged from his daughter since her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after being taken gravely ill at home.

He underwent around three hours of surgery during Wednesday and today remains in the intensive care unit. He now faces a second procedure to remove a blood clot.

This week’s medical crisis unfolded as Prince Harry made a paid speech to a group of estate agents in Canada ahead of his trip to New York, while Meghan released her holiday edition of her Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ in which she stressed the importance of family and friends.

When they discussed terms for leaving the Royal family, at the so-called Sandringham summit in January 2020, Harry is believed to have made a commitment to the Queen and his father that he and Meghan would continue to ‘uphold Her Majesty’s values’ – with many commentators believing this would preclude commenting on politics.
