Ruby Wax has become the fifth celebrity to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in a dramatic jungle exit that stunned both the camp and viewers at home.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her exit, Ruby described her fellow campmates as her “family” and admitted she was heartbroken to be leaving them.

“I can’t believe it,” she said. “It was fantasy land and suddenly there’s a light. We were just a cluster of loving people. I totally forgot the outside world. We shaved each other, investigated each other’s lower regions… I was checking Lisa’s bowels this morning — it doesn’t get any closer than that.”

Reflecting on signing up for the show, Ruby added: “When I agreed to do this, I thought, ‘Let’s give it a go,’ but I wasn’t expecting this. This is family and I’m sad I lost them. I really wasn’t expecting this. I was the queen — how can she be abducted?”

In true Ruby style, she joked: “I got away with everything with charm. I was the queen but not voted for it. I had to behead someone. When I became leader, they were my servants. When you’re so deep in the walls of reality, you truly believe you are the leader. I can’t believe we’ve been voted out — but OK, so be it.”

Opening up about her jungle bonds, she said of Aitch and Angry Ginge: “I don’t know why I was drawn to them, but we had so much in common. I just knew I would be friends with them.”

She also gushed over Tom Read Wilson, saying: “Tom was very romantic. He wooed me and he won me. We all became slightly hysterical and five years old again. I lay on Lisa’s breast every night — I went back to being about three years old.”

When told about the milk bottle sweet drama involving Aitch and Ginge, Ruby joked: “I’ll have to punish them very badly when they come out. I can’t believe it. OK, I’ll deal with that. I had more than fun — I bonded.”

However, Ruby’s exit didn’t just leave the jungle shaken — it sparked fury and confusion online, with fans insisting she had been “robbed” of a place in the final.

Many viewers quickly turned their anger toward Martin Kemp, accusing him of contributing very little to camp life while stronger personalities were being sent home.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s episode also showed the camp struggling with the fallout of the now-infamous “milkgate” scandal — with Angry Ginge making a clear attempt to shift all the blame onto Kelly Brook.

Earlier this week, Kelly, Ginge and Aitch secretly ate some of the milk bottle sweets they won during the Deals On Wheels trial — meaning the rest of the camp unknowingly received less.

Kelly dropped the bombshell revelation during Tuesday’s episode — and then avoided the full consequences after being voted off immediately afterward.

At the start of Wednesday’s show, Kelly and Jack Osbourne admitted they were “hungover from fun” following their night in the Jungle Arms. EastEnders star Shona McGarty struggled to get out of bed, while Jack became visibly emotional as he revealed it was the birthday of his late father Ozzy Osbourne.

Moments later, Ant and Dec returned to the camp to announce the latest eviction — and it was Kelly who was sent packing.

As she left, Kelly shouted: “By the way, there were more than ten milk bottles!”

Ginge quickly defended himself, claiming: “There were 13. We had one each and she took the first one.”

A shocked Jack replied: “The thievery in this camp!”

Still keen to keep his own name clear, Ginge later added: “Kelly’s to blame for it. You’ll see when you get out!”

In the Bush Telegraph, Aitch celebrated their narrow escape, admitting: “I think we got away with it!”

Shona, however, was far from impressed — especially after previously receiving backlash for being caught with contraband butter earlier in the series.
