Prince William threatened to ‘take’ more royal titles to force family members to turn on Andrew
William is now leading the charge in getting Prince Andrew out of Royal Lodge, and he has called on a not-so-gentlemanly tactic, it’s being reported.

King Charles has been trying to get Prince Andrew to move out of Royal Lodge for two years to no avail and now it sounds like Prince William has stepped in.Andrew has a 75-year lease on Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion, and now that he has agreed to stop using his dukedom, pressure is on for him to vacate.
When push comes to shove, sometimes a person needs to push a little bit, and it appears that’s what William is doing, leaning on Andrew’s two daughters, using their royal titles as leverage. It comes as Princess Eugenie and Beatrice’s royal fate is revealed as Andrew is stripped of his royal titles.
Royal writer Jane Barr addressed the issue in a new post in her Substack, From Berkshire to Buckingham, writing: “Although the Palace was working to suggest King Charles was taking a hardline, Emily Maitlis in her podcast, reported that it was William who really brought the hammer down on Thursday.

She explained: “Maitlis said she heard that earlier on that Thursday there had been a meeting between Prince William and the York girls.
“At this meeting, William put pressure on Beatrice and Eugenie to get their father to vacate Royal Lodge or the Palace would examine the possibility of taking Beatrice’s and Eugenie’s titles!”
It is well-known William is not a fan of his uncle, and their relationship is tense, if there is a relationship at all. It’s been reported that William’s wife, Princess Kate, steers clear of Andrew.
Barr wasn’t surprised that William was the “driving force” in getting Andrew evicted, but she was surprised that he allegedly “threatened his cousins’ positions as princesses.”

She elaborated on the matter in her post: “It speaks to how thoroughly William must loathe Andrew and how steeled he must have been to the necessity of taking Andrew’s titles and throwing him out of Royal Lodge.”
Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson, who has also stopped using her royal title, Duchess of York, have been living at Royal Lodge as roommates for over twenty years.
“William brought the hammer down.”
There’s talk that the divorced couple will move out of Royal Lodge, but on their own terms, that Andrew would move into Frogmore Cottage and Sarah, who is no longer a member of the Royal Family, would move into Adelaide Cottage.
