Things are going from bad to worse for disgraced Prince Andrew. Although the late-Queen’s third born has not been a working royal since 2019 and no longer appeared at royal events in an official capacity, on Friday it was announced that he has been stripped of his titles, and will no longer be the Duke of York.

The former duke will also give up his membership of the Order of the Garter, but remains a prince, after his brother reached a “tipping point” over Andrew’s many scandals. While it was recently revealed the prince has been swept up in a China espionage scandal, it’s his involvement with convicted sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein and the allegations made by the late Virginia Giuffre that continue to plague the royal.

Ms Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, said she was one of the young women and girls who were trafficked by Epstein.

As Ms Giuffre’s posthumous memoir is set to be released this coming week, no doubt bringing further attention to the disgraced royal’s seedy involvement with Epstein, the Daily Star takes a look at the woes currently blighting Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew ‘lied’ in car-crash interview

The infamous 2019 interview by Emily Maitlis was a car crash for the prince as soon as it aired, not least for his numerous weird claims like a medical condition stopping him from being able to sweat and using a birthday party at Pizza Express in Woking as an alibi against Virginia Giuffre’s claim that she was trafficked to him as a teen.

However, his dreadful interview continues to haunt him as Maitlis has said that Prince Andrew “lied about his contact” with his paedo pal Jeffery Epstein during their explosive chat, following the emergence of new information.

Prince Andrew claimed to have cut ties with Epstein in December 2010, however, a recently surfaced email from 2011 shows the former duke writing to Epstein: “we are in this together” and “we’ll play some more soon!”

Maitlis told The Observer it prompted her to re-watch the interview for the first time in six years, adding: “The email that emerged last week categorically showed that what he said was untrue.

“I have become more alive to all the inconsistencies. It makes you re-watch, revisit everything again. I think we know now that [Prince Andrew] lied to me about his contact with Epstein.”

Despite Prince Andrew claiming never to have met Ms Giuffre, fresh allegations have emerged that he had asked a Met Police officer to dig up dirt in a bid to smear his sexual assault accuser.

The royal will now be investigated by the Met Police over claims he asked his police protection officer to investigate Ms Giuffre just before an alleged photo of her first meeting with the prince in February 2011 was published. It’s alleged he gave the officer her date of birth and her confidential social security number.

The Met said: “We are aware of media reporting and are actively looking into the claims made.” Prince Andrew has not commented on the reports, but consistently denies all allegations against him.

The royal’s ‘orgy with trafficked girls that led to a miscarriage’

A pregnant Ms Giuffre suffered a miscarriage just days after she took part in an orgy with Prince Andrew and eight other girls, according to explosive allegations made in her posthumous memoir.

Ms Giuffre, who took her own life in April aged 41, alleged in the memoir that she lost the baby just four days after taking part in “an orgy” with the prince and “eight other girls”. Prince Andrew has vehemently rejected all sexual allegations made against him, and there is no evidence to suggest the prince was the father of Ms Giuffre’s unborn child.

Following the “orgy”, which is alleged to have taken place on “little Saint Jeff’s” – the nickname for Epstein’s Caribbean island – Ms Giuffre said she was “not in great shape” and that she woke up in a “pool of blood”.

Sarah Ferguson bankrolled by Epstein for 15 years

Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, who was also stripped of her titles this week, has also been hit by the Epstein scandal. Emails reveal the billionaire sex offender had secretly bankrolled Sarah Ferguson for 15 years, and that Epstein complained to friends about her scrounging huge sums of money of him.

The ex-Duchess of York had previously admitted to taking £15,000 to help pay off her debts, which she called “a giant error of judgement”.

The emails reveal that Fergie begged Epstein to borrow $50,000 to $100,000 to help with “small bills” and even asked to visit his private island.

The previously unseen emails reveal that Fergie was so desperate to cosy up to him, that “she was the first to celebrate” his release from jail with her daughters, aged 20 and 19, in tow.

Self-imposed exile may be prince’s only remaining choice

With Ms Guiffre’s memoir Nobody’s Girl due out imminently, it’s reported Prince Andrew is preparing to leave the UK to avoid further embarrassment, claims royal biographer Nigel Cawthorne.

He said: “He knows he isn’t wanted here. Even his own family no longer wants to be seen with him. I think the only choice he has left is self-imposed exile.

“His one option left is to find a friendly country where he can live out the rest of his days in comparative peace and safety. He’s finally reached the very end of the road here at home.”

Nobody’s Girl memoir to cast further bombshell allegations

Already, it’s clear the not-yet-released memoir by Ms Guiffre will be full of bombshell allegations that will plunge Prince Andrew into further scandal and disgrace.

It’s expected Ms Guiffre’s posthumous book, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, will outline that Prince Andrew felt “entitled” to sleep with her and believed having sex with her was his “birthright”.
