James Wessex dubbed ‘next royal heartthrob’ after surprise appearance
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s son left an impression over the weekend.

James, the Earl of Wessex, made a rare appearance over the weekend, and royal fans have gone wild. The second child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, 18, joined his parents in Cirenchester, Gloucester, for the wedding of Peter and Harriet Phillips.
James looked all grown up as he got out of the car and entered the church. He wore a classic black tailcoat, striped trousers and finished the look with a red patterned tie. Royal fans swooned at the sight of the young royal, and many took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on X: “He’s very good looking! The next Royal heart throb lol.”
Another one said: “Nice looking boy, just never understood his hair style!”
A third one chimed: “Oh my! Teenage hearts will be aflutter!”
A fourth one commented: “Such a handsome young man. Perfect blend of both his parents. Very tall, just like his grandfather.”
A fifth one said: “So tall and very handsome.”
A sixth one then wrote: “So handsome!”
The royals showed up a united front on Saturday, as most senior members of the Firm attende the nuptials.
The King and Queen led the rest of the royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sara Ferguson and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend.
