Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have lifted the lid on their unexpected differences over expanding their family, even as they tease long-awaited wedding plans.

The Strictly Come Dancing stars — who met in 2017 — already share a bustling home with daughter Mia, six, son Thiago, two, and the family dog Benji. Yet despite their loving chaos, Gemma confessed on their podcast Lost In Translation that she’s been feeling broody after their son’s two-year health check — a moment that sparked an emotional conversation about whether baby number three is on the cards.

“It does make you think, a third would be nice,” the 41-year-old actress admitted. But Gorka, 35, shut down the idea immediately with a firm “No.”

Gemma told listeners he’s “absolutely not” entertaining the thought, with Gorka insisting their household feels “perfect” as it is.

The couple debated whether welcoming another little one would enhance their “organised chaos” — or throw their busy lives off balance. Gemma even floated the idea of adopting or taking in “another dog” rather than going through pregnancy again, joking she’d happily skip that part.

Yet Gorka argued her stance isn’t always consistent: “One month you want another kid and then you want me to have the snip,” he teased, calling out her mixed signals.

Gemma blamed her shifting emotions on perimenopause, while suggesting a vasectomy could be the “best option.”

The pair also admitted they’re still split on where to tie the knot — England or Spain — wanting to honour both families.

And heartbreakingly, Gemma revealed one deeply personal reason she’s hesitated: keeping her late father’s surname.

In an open Father’s Day letter, she wrote:
“I’m getting married, Dad! One day, anyway. I think one reason we’ve not done it yet is because of you. I’m the last Atkinson — if I give up my name, there’ll be no more of us.”

With conflicting baby hopes, wedding dilemmas, and emotional ties to her family legacy, the couple’s next chapter remains full of tender uncertainties — and decisions that could shape the rest of their lives.
