Mother D!es After Medical Emergency in Sea While Swimming With Her Son at Dorset Beach
A woman has died after suffering a medical emergency while in the water at Southbourne Beach in Dorset.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene Monday afternoon after members of the public pulled the woman from the sea near the area between Fisherman’s Walk and Portman Ravine. Despite prolonged efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses Say Woman Was Swimming With Her Son

According to local reports, the woman had been in the sea with her son when she experienced difficulties.
A beach hut owner told the Dorset Echo that he witnessed the incident unfolding, while another person nearby recalled hearing the commotion as emergency services arrived.
The witness said CPR was performed for an extended period in an effort to revive the woman.
Emergency Services Responded to the Incident
Dorset Police said officers were called to Southbourne promenade at around 2:21 p.m. to assist emergency crews and secure the area.
A Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance also attended, later departing from the beach at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Police confirmed that the woman’s next of kin have been informed and that the coroner has been notified.
Death Not Being Treated as Suspicious
Authorities stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The incident occurred as Britain braces for another spell of extreme heat, with forecasters warning that temperatures could reach 40°C in some parts of England and Wales later this week.
