The closure will effect the Easter period
King Charles’s Sandringham Estate has been forced to issue an apology after it announced that key services will be unavailable over the Easter period.
The estate that now houses the former duke Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has announced it will be shutting the Sandirngham Restaurant & Terrace, as well as various facilities.
In a statement, the estate announced: “March Temporary Closure Notice: The Sandringham Restaurant & Terrace will be closed from Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th March inclusive.
“All facilities at the Visitor Centre (Restaurant, Terrace & Shop) will be closed on Tuesday, March 24.

“St Mary Magdalene Church will be closed on Thursday, 26th March. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
The estate has been under intense media scrutiny since Andrew was ousted from Royal Lodge and moved into Wood Farm as his temporary accommodation before renovations are completed at his long-term home at Marsh Farm.
Andrew was sent to Sandringham after King Charles sensationally removed his royal titles last October due to his links with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Renovations are well underway at Marsh Farm, with recent images showing a new security fence being installed.
Images show that just a gate is needed to complete the six-foot-high wooden barrier, which is being erected around the property at Wolferton.
Once complete, it will cover the majority of the two-storey house from the nearby public road.

There has been much discussion about the former Duke of York still being in the line of succession, with him currently sitting eighth in line to the throne.
King Charles is expected to hold private conversations with Commonwealth leaders about potentially removing his brother from the royal line of succession.
The Government is currently examining legislative options to strip Andrew of his position as eighth in line to the throne.
However, any such move would necessitate approval from all 15 Commonwealth realms that recognise Charles as their head of state.
Sources indicate the process could potentially span several years before reaching completion.
It remains unclear whether Andrew’s daughters would face similar consequences, with no decision yet taken on Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s positions.

The allegations against Andrew include claims he shared classified information with associates, including Epstein.
He has always strongly denied any wrongdoing.
