Katie Price’s plush new pad near Horsham is already sparking fury – with neighbours fearing it’s turning into another Mucky Mansion nightmare
Katie Price’s luxury new-build rental near Horsham is already causing unrest among locals, with neighbours warning the property could be heading down the same troubling path as her infamous former home — the “Mucky Mansion”.
The star, 47, who is renting the swanky new-build for a whopping £4,500-a-month, has only been there a matter of months – but locals say the place is already being swallowed by piles of rubbish
The 47-year-old star is currently renting the swanky three-bedroom barn conversion for an eye-watering £4,500 per month, but despite only moving in a matter of months ago, residents claim rubbish is already swallowing the once-pristine property.
Fresh drone images show bin bags, debris and piles of junk dumped around the exterior and strewn across the garden, leaving onlookers stunned by what they describe as a lack of care for the upscale home.

One neighbour said the mess is “already going the same way as her old place”, with concerns mounting as the waste continues to build.

The fears echo memories of Katie’s former Sussex estate, widely dubbed the Mucky Mansion, which she purchased in 2014 from former Tory peer Francis Maude before it fell into severe disrepair.
She was later evicted from the property following serious financial issues and a second bankruptcy declaration in March 2024, with bailiffs removing her and her family in May that year after she failed to keep up mortgage payments.

After leaving the crumbling mansion, Katie briefly moved into a Tudor-style rental costing around £5,000 per month, but was forced to leave again after just a few months.
Speaking on her podcast last July, the mother-of-five explained she had been told the landlord was selling the house, prompting her to begin searching on Rightmove.
She said:
“I’ve got to move house as the guy who owns it wants to sell the house now. I might go closer to the kids’ school — I’m going to talk to him, he might let me stay longer, but he might not.”
Soon after, Katie relocated to her current Horsham property, but drone shots reveal how closely packed the neighbouring homes are — and why locals are increasingly uneasy about the growing mess.
Meanwhile, Katie finally managed to sell her notorious former home in December 2024. Originally listed for £1.5 million, the price was slashed to £1.35 million in October before it eventually sold for just £1.15 million.
Despite the sale, insiders confirmed she didn’t see a penny of the money, with the entire amount swallowed by outstanding debts tied to the property.
When first marketed, potential buyers were warned not to fall into the empty swimming pool and were even alerted that the land could be contaminated by waste. The estate agent listing described the property as a “substantial detached family home” with nine bedrooms, four bathrooms and a one-bedroom annexe — making no reference to its celebrity past.
Katie once claimed the house was “cursed”, saying it had brought her nothing but bad memories.
Her personal life has also faced turmoil. Last week it emerged she had split from boyfriend JJ Slater after almost two years together. The former couple began dating in February 2024 following his appearance on Married At First Sight UK, and Katie had even spoken publicly about wanting another child with him.
However, insiders say she eventually accepted the relationship had run its course, with one source revealing:
“Katie had doubts for some time about whether JJ was husband material. She hoped they would fade, but they only grew.”
Now, with rubbish continuing to pile up at her new home, neighbours are left wondering whether this latest move will mark a true fresh start — or the beginning of another chapter eerily reminiscent of the past.
