Dominik Szoboszlai is winning on and off the pitch as he settles into married life and fatherhood.
The Liverpool midfielder, who has earned rave reviews this season including after his stunning free kick handed title rivals Arsenal a 1-0 defeat at Anfield, got hitched to Borka Buzsik earlier this year following a whirlwind romance. The couple confirmed their relationship in July last year, shortly after Szoboszlaiâs Hungary were knocked out of Euro 2024 in Germany.

By October, the pair were engaged after the midfielder popped the question at a plush hotel in Budapest. They got married in March, with Szoboszlai confirming their nuptials on Instagram with black and white images of the pair on their wedding date. The snaps were captioned â2025.03.25â with a red heart.
Just six weeks ago, the couple announced the birth of their first child. With a picture of the couple holding the infantâs hands, Szoboszlai wrote: âYour birth means the world to me. Thank you, my love for bringing her into our life! [red heart emoji].â
Buzsik appears to be a private person with just 13 posts on her Instagram feed â the majority of which feature her and her husband â although she boasts 84,000 followers. An early post from 2022 shows her wearing a mortarboard, having graduated from Budapestâs Corvinus University.

Szoboszlai previously dated model, influencer and former tennis player Fanni Gecsek. The pair reportedly met while Szoboszlai was playing for Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg in 2020.
Gecsek, 24, had aspirations of being a top sports star herself. Between 2017 and 2019, she played in ITF tournaments, the feeder level to the WTA tour.
However, she stepped away from the court to focus on modelling and social media, where she posts pictures of her glamorous lifestyle.
She has just shy of 85,000 followers on Instagram and is based in Budapest and Milan, according to her bio. Like Buzsik, she is well educated, with a Masterâs degree in Luxury Fashion & Brand Marketing as well as International Sports Management.
Since splitting from Szoboszlai, her current relationship status is unknown.
Following Wednesdayâs dramatic 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Szoboszlai and his Liverpool team-mates will now be preparing for the first Merseyside derby of the season at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime.

Following his move from RP Leipzig in 2023, Szoboszlai has become a key player for Liverpool, first under Jurgen Klopp as he lifted the Carabao Cup, and then as an integral part of manager Arne Slotâs side, who won a record equalling 20th top flight title.
Fresh from winning the Premier League last season, the Dutch manager has even slapped a £100million price tag on the 24-year-old.

Slot brought up Szoboszlai this week as he defended the Redsâ mammoth summer spending spree, which saw them lavish ÂŁ450million on eight players, with ÂŁ250m being recouped in player sales.
Slot said: âThere is so much focus on our new signings, especially from pundits that favour some other clubs in the country that cannot stop talking about ÂŁ450m.
âI repeat, ÂŁ450m, ÂŁ450m! But they forget about [nearly] ÂŁ300m that we have sold for.
âSo, yes, if we want to strengthen the squad, we need to spend that much money. If we sell Dominik Szoboszlai tomorrow, he would be worth ÂŁ100m as well.â
