King Charles issues joyful update on Princess Anne after Andrew crisis
The Royal family seems to have some reprieve from the ongoing furore surrounding the former ‘prince’, Andrew, as Princess Anne remains dedicated to service and loyalty to the monarchy.
The Princess Royal, who travelled to Scotland for a series of royal engagements, received a delightful update via a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
Charles’s sister is the patron of Scottish Rugby Union and given her position, the 74-year-old royal ‘Team Run’ Training Session at Murrayfield Stadium.
In highlights shared from the visit, the Palace shared a carousel of photos, in which Anne appeared in high spirits, interacting with players and the important people involved.
“Always a joy to be at Murrayfield to watch some rugby!” the message read. “This week, as Patron of the Scottish Rugby Union, The Princess Royal visited the Scottish Rugby Team as they took part in a ‘Team Run’ training session.”
The statement added, “Wishing @scotlandteam the best of luck for the rest of the season!”
The positive update appeared to signify closing of a very messy and chaotic chapter of Andrew, who has officially lost all his royal titles and symbols of the royal life as the King began the formal process to remove his brother from the Royal Lodge.
While the royal family statement noted that the actions were being taking “notwithstanding the fact he continues to deny the allegations against him”.
Despite the major blow to her brother, albeit shame, Anne smiled free and easy during her Scottish two-day trip. She is anticipated to return to UK on Saturday.
