Kate Middleton Looks Elegant in a Cream Self-Portrait Dress for Easter Sunday Services

The Princess of Wales chose meaningful accessories for the holidays: the late Queen Elizabeth’s earrings and a cross necklace.

After two years of spending Easter privately, Kate Middleton and her family have returned to the annual Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Walking on foot to church with members of the extended royal family, the Princess of Wales rewore a cream Self-Portrait dress, which she first stepped out in 2022 for a joint engagement with Princess Anne, accessorizing with a matching hat, a cross necklace, and pearl drop earrings that appear to be Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings. She also carried a bag from DeMellier London.

Her outfit was in line with what she’s worn to Easter Sunday services in years past, though she frequently has opted for shades of blue and coatdresses. Today marks just her sixth time attending Easter Sunday in Windsor; the last time she wore cream to the event was back in 2017.

After church, the royal family reportedly enjoy a roast lamb lunch at Windsor Castle, though it’s unclear if the Waleses join. This fall, they moved into Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom home in Windsor Great Park. “Windsor has become their home. However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times,” a royal source told the BBC about their Forest Lodge move. “Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter. It’s an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind.”

This year, then, marks their first time celebrating Easter in their new house. While it’s never been explicitly publicly confirmed, there’s speculation that the royal children partake in an annual egg hunt; Prince William and Kate said on Easter Sunday 2018 that George and Charlotte had been on an Easter egg hunt that morning.
