Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s Netflix chapter is officially coming to an end.

The California-based couple’s multi-year deal with Netflix will not be renewed after it expires in September, The Sun reported on Wednesday morning. The pair signed the reported $100 million, five-year deal with the streaming platform back in 2020, as the two transitioned out of royal duties in London and set up a new family life in Montecito, California.

Partnering with the streaming service was an ideal collaboration for the couple, a source close to Meghan and Harry shared with Harper’s Bazaar in May. The deal gave them the creative freedom to generate content that aligned with their values, from mental health initiatives to social transformation.

So far, Meghan and Harry have produced five major projects in five years, including the couple’s explosive docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which became the biggest debut for a Netflix documentary upon its release and is still the company’s second most popular documentary series.

Despite the September end date for the streaming deal, the Duchess of Sussex’s series will return with new episodes in the fall, as the show had been previously renewed following the success of its March premiere.

The series has also led to major sales for Meghan, who launched her As Ever lifestyle brand alongside the series with Netflix as a partner. Since her first collection drop—which included everything from sun teas and shortbread mix to her famous jams—As Ever products have instantly sold out, leaving flower sprinkle fans everywhere wanting more.
