The singer’s beloved mum, Thea, 88, who lives in Australia with husband Savvas, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s in 2023. Over the past year, Peter has spoken openly about the heartbreak of watching her condition deteriorate.

Now, the 52-year-old father-of-five has revealed just how fragile things have become.

The emotional update came as Peter posted an adorable FaceTime video between his one-year-old daughter Belle and her granddad Savvas, 92. The clip, filmed by Peter’s wife Emily, shows little Belle giggling with delight as her granddad pulls funny faces on the screen.

Holding the phone for his daughter, Peter watched on quietly as the special moment unfolded — before explaining why his mum was missing from the call.

“No matter what happens in my life, moments like these are the most precious,” he wrote.

“Sadly, Mum can’t speak anymore. But Belle has a wonderful daily conversation with her Bapou — Greek for grandfather — and as you can see, they absolutely adore each other.

“It melts my heart every time. She does get to see her Viayia — Greek for grandmother — every day too, but sadly the Parkinson’s is taking its toll.

“I cherish every moment I have with both my parents and my children.”

The singer, who shares children Princess, 18, Junior, 20, Amelia, 12, Theo, nine, and baby Belle with wife Emily, has previously admitted he fears he may not have long left with his mum.

Speaking to OK! Magazine just before Christmas, Peter confessed:
“Of course I worry this could be Mum’s last Christmas. She’s very delicate now. Her Parkinson’s has progressed so much. Her speech is almost gone.

“She might say a word or two, and it’s heartbreaking, because she’s our world — our pillar of strength.”

Peter has also spoken about the agony of being torn between life in the UK and the desire to be by his parents’ side in Australia.

Writing in his New! magazine column, he revealed:
“It’s absolutely heartbreaking. With Alzheimer’s it’s so hard, not just for the person affected, but for everyone who loves them.

“I see the decline happening, and the guilt and worry never leave you.”

He added that his dad Savvas’ health is also failing.

“I see Dad every day with her — he’s 92 now and getting more delicate himself. His memory is going too, but I will always be grateful that they reached the milestone I prayed for — 70 years of marriage in September.”

“It’s raw pain,” Peter admitted. “I’m a grown man, but I still can’t accept in my heart that this happens to the people you love the most.”
