Drunk teen, 18, makes shocking confession after speeding to 102mph in BMW that killed beautiful high schooler

An 18-year-old told police, ‘I drove and killed her,’ after a promising high school girl died in a fiery BMW crash, cops say.

Om Patel was allegedly behind the wheel of a 2024 BMW M4 on March 22 when he reached 102 mph in a 45 mph zone and crashed along a state highway in Missouri.

One of the three passengers inside the vehicle with Patel was 18-year-old Tessa Walker, who was killed after suffering a ‘fractured skull with brain matter exposed,’ according to an arrest affidavit, cited by Law and Crime.

Patel, who was covered in Walker’s blood after the crash, ‘admitted to coming from a party,’ the affidavit says.

‘Patel told [a deputy], “I drove and killed her.”‘

Walker died at the scene. The driver and his other passengers were taken to a nearby hospital with varying injuries.

‘Members of the Crash Team conducted an investigation at the scene of the collision,’ reads the affidavit.

‘The BMW appeared to have impacted the ground before rolling over for one full rotation. The BMW came to rest on its wheels, facing west.’

Investigators performed a ‘speed scuff analysis’ which found that the BMW was traveling at ‘a speed of at least 102.65 mph’, according to officials.

Officials also discovered that Patel and Walker had left from an 18-year-old’s birthday party.

‘Evidence of underage consumption of alcohol was located,’ the affidavit said.

According to the outlet, Patel had a blood-alcohol content of .047 percent following the crash.

The legal limit for people under the age of 21 in Missouri is .02 percent.

Officials arrived on the scene of the crash and found the vehicle engulfed in flames.

‘Once the fire was put out, responders located [Walker] deceased in the back passenger side of the BMW,’ reads the affidavit.

Walker’s heartbroken father Drew, a professional tattoo artist, described her death as ‘cruel.’

‘For a girl to endure so much and then leave just as she was to be let loose into the world is a cruel and confusing thing. Rip Tessa bear,’ he wrote in a social media post announcing her death.

In a separate post, Drew added: ‘You never belonged to this world anyway, Tess. But gd [sic] it’s gonna miss you.’

Walker leaves behind her father and four siblings, Jaxson, Trey, Elli, and Kira. Her mother, Amanda Webb, passed away in 2020, aged 34.

A makeshift memorial with flowers and a butterfly decoration has been left at the crash site.

Walker was preparing to graduate this spring and attend Northwest Missouri State University in the fall, her obituary said.

She excelled academically and had received several scholarships to help fund her continued education.

Walker was an artist, writer, and competitive athlete who was active on Park Hill High School’s volleyball, girls’ flag football, and track teams.

She also volunteered with the Midwest Innocence Project through the school’s Professional Studies program.

On Friday, Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd announced involuntary manslaughter charges against Patel, according to KODE.

He was also arrested for DWI, according to court records cited by the outlet.

A judge issued a warrant for Patel’s arrest and has set a $25,000 cash bond.
