Although most contestants have returned with a decent number of stars after each challenge, they have still been struggling with the reality of meagre meals and a lack of substantial dinners.

Every year, fans are left stunned by how much weight the cast tend to lose while in the jungle — but this series, one campmate in particular has become a major talking point: Twitch streamer AngryGinge, 24.

Viewers Spot ‘Drastic’ Change

Some concerned viewers have taken to Reddit to share their observations about how dramatically AngryGinge appears to have changed since entering the jungle.

One wrote:
“Is it me or has Ginge lost a drastic amount of weight in the Jungle? The flashbacks to the first few episodes are such a difference.”

Another replied:
“I noticed the same for a couple of campmates. I suppose they probably aren’t getting adequate calories per day — especially not enough protein.”

Others went even further, adding:
“They clearly are starving to a degree. A few of them look to have lost weight.”
“Of course they are being starved. You can literally see them losing weight — and fast.”

A History Of Jungle Body Transformations

Over the years, I’m A Celebrity has seen some truly dramatic physical transformations.

Rebekah Vardy lost a full stone during her time in the jungle in 2017, while Emily Atack dropped a stone the following year.
Stanley Johnson shed 1.5 stone in 2017, while Nick Knowles lost an impressive 2.2 stone in 2018.

Other memorable transformations include Jacqueline Jossa, Scarlett Moffatt, Michael Buerk and Colin Baker.

Jack Osbourne Reveals The Brutal Side Effects

The concern surrounding weight loss comes after AngryGinge’s campmate Jack Osbourne revealed the painful side effects of shedding pounds in the jungle.

Appearing on ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked, Jack answered questions from viewers and admitted that sitting on the camp’s hard logs had become unbearable.

One viewer asked him:
“If you could sneak one thing into camp, what would it be?”

Jack replied:
“I think I would probably sneak in a really comfy camping chair.”

He added candidly:
“The logs are so uncomfortable, and as we’re all losing weight, we have no a**. We’ve all got bruised, chafed a**** from sitting on the logs.”*

The star also revealed that his “stomach muscles hurt” due to not eating enough.

Martin Kemp’s Exit Adds To Jungle Turmoil

The growing concern over camp conditions comes as Martin Kemp became the sixth star to be voted out after being dubbed the ‘jungle ghost’ by his son Roman, owing to his lack of Bushtucker Trials.

His exit came just hours after he finally left camp to take part in a challenge, following a revelation by Vogue Williams during a live stream that Martin had been secretly exempt from some trials.

After 20 days in the jungle, Martin joined lifelong hosts Ant and Dec and admitted:
“I have dreamt about this moment.”

He continued:
“It’s just a weird trip. I loved just sitting around talking with the others. I’ve said it before — I’m not one for making new friends and this is the first time I’ve done it in years, and I absolutely loved it.”

He added:
“Coming out now, I feel like I’ve done everything I want to do, experienced it, and I can walk out with some brilliant anecdotes.”

With the jungle taking its toll physically and emotionally, viewers remain glued to their screens as the competition intensifies.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
