Radio 2 favourite Sara Cox has become the beating heart of Children In Need 2025 — battling exhaustion, pain, and brutal weather as she runs 135 miles in just five days for the charity’s longest-ever challenge.

And now, as she stumbles into day three of her epic “Great Northern Marathon,” the 50-year-old presenter has been flooded with love from a glittering list of stars — from Dame Judi Dench to Mo Farah, Mel C, and Peter Kay — all cheering her toward the finish line.

Running through four counties — from the Scottish border down through Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, and into West Yorkshire — Sara has faced steep hills, pounding rain, sleepless nights, and even a nasty cold.

“I’m really struggling this morning,” she confessed on air, her voice trembling. “My calves are tight, my knees are killing me… everything hurts. But I’ve just got to keep digging.”
