Running through four counties — from the Scottish border down through Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, and into West Yorkshire — Sara has faced steep hills, pounding rain, sleepless nights, and even a nasty cold.

“I’m really struggling this morning,” she confessed on air, her voice trembling. “My calves are tight, my knees are killing me… everything hurts. But I’ve just got to keep digging.”

Moments later, she learned she had smashed the £1 million mark for Children In Need — and broke down, sobbing into her microphone.

“Oh my God… one million! You’ve completely broken me,” she cried, hands over her face. “Thank you so, so much. Every penny will change lives.”

The outpouring of celebrity support has been nothing short of heart-warming.
