Princess Kate in a Naval-Inspired Ensemble for the HMS Glasgow Naming Ceremony in Scotland
On Thursday, The Prince and Princess of Wales were in Scotland to attend the naming ceremony of HMS Glasgow, the UK’s newest Type 26 anti-submarine frigate, at BAE Systems’ shipyard in Scotstoun, Glasgow.

As the ship’s Sponsor, Catherine officiated the ceremonial event, christening the vessel by releasing a bottle of Clydeside Distillery whisky against the hull, declaring, “I name this ship Glasgow. May God bless her and all who sail on her.”
Catherine and William later toured the vessel and met with BAE Systems staff and Royal Navy personnel.
