The former royal was released from police custody under investigation last month
The ongoing scrutiny of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson will inevitably turn to the Royal Family, a royal expert has claimed.
The former Duke and Duchess of York were thrust back into the spotlight with the latest batch of the Epstein files that were released by the US Department of Justice.
The disgraced pair feature prominently within the three million files, and was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
However, royal expert, Jared Meade, has told GB News the buck will not stop with the disgraced pair. He said: “When a high-profile individual is involved in a situation like the Epstein case, scrutiny rarely stops with that individual, especially when they are tied to an institution foundational to the country.

“Inevitably, the media will ask questions about ‘what did the the Firm know and when?’ Those questions will, in turn, fuel public curiosity.
“So, it’s almost certain that attention will expand. However, without credible evidence of foreknowledge, that scrutiny is unlikely to produce anything of substance.
“From a reputational standpoint, if the Royal Family continues to maintain an appropriate distance from Andrew and Sarah and reinforces that the rule of law applies equally, regardless of rank, the monarchy will withstand the moment.”
It has also been claimed King Charles had no choice but to support his disgraced brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, as he will be unable to get a job to support himself.
The former royal is now facing strict restrictions at Wood Farm following his arrest, with only pre-approved visitors allowed to visit the 66-year-old.

“Andrew can’t end up homeless and on the streets, much as the public might like that to happen.
“But what can Andrew do? He can’t get a job somewhere. He can’t deliver parcels to make ends meet.
“He’s sort of stuck so King Charles will still financially support him, but what that will look like, who knows,” he added.
He added: “Andrew really is the pariah Prince and he’s a problem to his family.”
“He hasn’t been convicted in a court of law, but he has been found guilty in the court of public opinion, and I think with the latest tranche of emails, it definitely just stinks, it’s rotten, you know.

Being named in the Epstein files is not an indication of misconduct.
The former prince has previously denied any wrongdoing in his associations with Epstein and rejected any suggestion he used his time as trade envoy to further his own interests.
