Bosch Meets The Lincoln Lɑwyer in Netflix’s Most Explosive Crossover Yet Justice in Los Angeles is about to change. Netflix is quietly setting the stage for a high-stakes crossover that brings together two of crime television’s most formidable forces: Detective Harry Bosch and defense attorney Mickey Haller. One operates in the shadows, the other in the courtroom — and both are pulled into one brutal case with zero margin for error. Sources say the collision of these two worlds will expose secrets buried deep in L.A.’s justice system, forcing uneasy alliances and impossible choices. When law enforcement and legal strategy clash at this level, the fallout doesn’t stay contained — it spreads across the city. This fall, the City of Angels won’t be the same.

‘Lincoln Lawyer’ & ‘Bosch’: Is a Crossover in the Works?

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Titus Welliver

As The Lincoln Lawyer has been renewed for a third season on Netflix, fans are hoping to see a future crossover with Prime Video‘s Bosch.

Lincoln Lawyer and Bosch share the same universe, at least within Michael Connelly’s books, on which the two series are based. Michael “Mikey” Haller, the criminal defense lawyer and recovering addict who runs his office out of his Lincoln, is revealed to be the half-brother of Detective Hieronymous “Harry” Bosch.

The characters have crossed over multiple times in Connelly’s books. Bosch first appeared in 1992’s The Black Echo, while Mickey Haller debuted in 2005’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which was adapted into the 2011 movie of the same name, starring Matthew McConaughey.

Connelly’s 2008 novel The Brass Verdict, which Netflix’s first season of The Lincoln Lawyer is adapted from, sees Bosch make his first crossover appearance. This has led to fans thinking they could see Titus Welliver‘s Bosch appear alongside Manuel Garcia-Rulfo‘s Mickey Haller in the TV series.

Unfortunately, it seems like a streaming crossover will have to overcome a lot of hurdles to become a reality, at least according to Connelly. “Since we have competing studios, that’s not going to be a thing in the shows,” the author told AARP. “I understand. But if we got Amazon and Netflix working together, we could also solve world peace.”

While Bosch doesn’t appear in The Lincoln Lawyer series, there are echoes of his character elsewhere. His role in the story is taken over by Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine’s LAPD Detective Griggs, a new character created for the show, and Angus Sampson‘s Cisco, Haller’s lead investigator who also appears in the books.

Bosch premiered on Prime Video in 2014 and ran for seven seasons, ending on June 25, 2021. A spin-off series, Bosch: Legacy, debuted on May 6, 2022, and was later renewed for a second and third season. The spin-off sees Welliver reprise his role as Bosch alongside Mimi Rogers as Honey “Money” Chandler and Madison Lintz as Madeline “Maddie” Bosch.

The Lincoln Lawyer wrapped up its second season earlier this month and was picked up for a third season on August 30. In addition to Garcia-Rulfo, the series stars Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, and Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts.
