Kate Middleton has given a surprise, meaningful gift ahead of the Christmas holiday.
The Princess of Wales donated a Christmas tree from her December 5 âTogether at Christmasâ carol concert at Westminster Abbey to the Oak Cancer Centre.
The organization called the tree âmajestic.â
Kate Middleton is spreading some under-the-radar Christmas cheer.
In addition to making sure her familyâs first holiday season in their new home, Forest Lodge, is special, the Princess of Wales is making sure that the Christmas decor from her December 5 âTogether at Christmasâ carol concert at Westminster Abbey isnât going to waste. The future queen donated a Christmas tree from the event earlier this month to the Oak Cancer Centreâparticularly poignant as she approaches one year since announcing she is in remission.
âThank you to HRH The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden with HRH The Prince of Wales, for donating a majestic Christmas tree from the âTogether at Christmasâ Carol Service, held at Westminster Abbey earlier this month,â The Royal Marsden wrote on Instagram. The organization added, âYou can see the tree in all its glory in the entrance of the Oak Cancer Centre in Sutton.â
The Oak Cancer Centre is part of The Royal Marsden, which Hello! described as âa world-leading specialist cancer center.â The Royal Marsden is particularly significant to the Princess of Wales, as it is where she underwent her cancer treatment after being diagnosed in early 2024.

That wasnât the only thoughtful gesture Kate has made recently to the charity, which she serves as patron. Last week, she made a low-key visit to the Ever After Garden in Chelsea, which raises funds for the organization. The garden was designed as a space where people can remember loved ones that have lost to cancer by planting a rose in their memory, according to Hello!.
Following her visit, Kate said, âThank you to all those who have contributed to the Ever After Garden, which raises vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Every flower, every light, is a memory held together, an illumination of shared love, remembrance, and hope.â
The future queen previously issued a statement via her office at Kensington Palace about the impact The Royal Marsden has had on her life, with a spokesperson sharing, âThe princess wanted to make the journey to both show her gratitude to the incredible team, but also highlight the world-leading care and treatment the Marsden provides.â

Soon Kate, her husband Prince William, and their three kids will be retreating to Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, to prepare to celebrate Christmas with the royal family at the Sandringham estate. âCatherine has made the Christmas period uniquely hers,â royal commentator Jennie Bond told The Mirror. âIt is the time of year when she steps forward and takes pride of place amongst the working royals.â
In addition to her âTogether at Christmasâ carol concert, the Wales family of five are expected to take part in the royal familyâs annual Christmas Day walk to church at St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham grounds. Though they likely wonât be at their new home, the eight-bedroom Georgian mansion Forest Lodge, for December 25 itself, itâs no doubt decorated for the holiday ahead.

âMoving to Forest Lodge and putting down permanent roots must be so exciting, so Iâm sure that the holiday time they spend there is going to be pretty magical,â Bond added.
It has been a big year for the Princess of Wales in many waysâincluding her ongoing âsubtle style evolution,â Bethan Holt, fashion director at The Telegraph, told People. Particularly speaking about her three wow factor state banquet looksâfor the French state visit in July, the U.S. state visit in September, and the most recent German state visit in DecemberâHolt continued that Kate âticked all the boxes of diplomacy, glamour, and appropriateness.â

âIt is a huge amount of pressure for Kate to always deliver this fashion moment at these big state events, but itâs all part of the package,â Holt said, adding that âsheâs definitely still ticking all those boxes that are so integral to who she is as a royal and future queen.â
