The Palace is said to be worried after reports Sarah Ferguson could consider doing a tell-all TV interview, after she was iced out of the royal family.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s ex-wife was also stripped of her royal privileges and kicked out of Royal Lodge, along with her ex, amid the scandal over their relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew and Fergie have been told by King Charles to leave the 30-bed Royal Lodge mansion – Andrew will be moved to a private estate but Fergie was told to make her own arrangements.

The ex-royal is reportedly in talks with US TV bosses for a six-figure cheque in return for an interview about the family and her ex-husband. Sarah and Andrew have strongly denied all claims against them.

Fergie, 66, has not spoken publicly since losing her Duchess of York title so a massive TV deal could see her spill everything about the scandal that has gripped the monarchy.

Insiders at Buckingham Palace have supposedly shared their fears about what the ex-duchess could say if she agrees to sit down in front of the cameras, according to The Sun. A source reportedly said they fear she could go “rogue” after being iced out of the family.

They said: “There’s a danger of her going rogue and saying things that could cause embarrassment for King Charles and Queen Camilla, or other members of the family.”

Fergie and her team have reportedly seen offers come in from across the globe, including channels in the Gulf and US, for a potential interview. Despite this, Sarah could risk a debacle comparable to her disgraced ex-husband’s appearance on BBC Newsnight – where Andrew agreed to sit down with Emily Maitlis in his first public discussion of his relationship with Epstein.

The ex-duchess saw her royal life blow-up after an email, sent in 2011, where she called the convicted paedophile her “supreme friend” was leaked. She has since also been removed as a patron by multiple charities amid the scandal.

She sent the message after an interview following Epstein’s conviction for sex offences – including sex trafficking – during which she promised she would never associate with him again, and that she abhorred “paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children”.

She added that a “terrible, terrible error of judgement was made” in associating with the paedophile offender financier. She also said: “What he did was wrong and for which he was rightly jailed.”

A spokesperson for Fergie said the email was sent following threats from Epstein to sue for defamation, adding she was trying to convince him otherwise.
