Laurence Fox has ignited a fierce public backlash after launching a furious online rant accusing a school of vaccinating one of his sons without his consent â branding the education system âevilâ and vowing legal action â before later conceding a crucial detail that complicated his own claims.
The 47-year-old actor-turned-activist, who shares sons Winston, 16, and Eugene, 12, with ex-wife Billie Piper, took to social media in a profanity-laced meltdown, alleging that an unnamed school had overstepped parental authority by administering a vaccination against his explicit wishes.

âEvilâ schools and a furious outburst
In his initial video, Fox appeared visibly enraged, claiming one of his children had been âjabbedâ without permission and left unwell. He accused schools of abandoning education in favour of pushing what he described as ideological and pharmaceutical agendas.
Laurence Fox has unleashed a furious rant claiming a school vaccinated his son without consent â while declaring he has now instructed lawyers to intervene
Laurence, who shares two sons Winston, 16, and Eugene, 12, with his ex-wife Billie Piper, accused the unnamed school of carrying out the vaccination against his wishes and branded modern schooling âevilâ (pictured with Billie in 2014)
âHow dare they touch a hair on my childâs head?â he raged.
âThis is modern schooling. Evil. Absolutely evil.â
He went further, urging parents to pull their children out of schools altogether and questioning where parents âfitâ in Britain in 2026.
Fox claimed he had previously made it clear to the school that he did not consent to any medical intervention beyond emergency treatment, and insisted the vaccination was carried out regardless.
Allegations unravel â but the anger remains
However, less than 24 hours later, Fox posted a second video that shifted the narrative.
After rechecking his emails, he admitted that the school had in fact sent a consent form, which he said he had missed due to problems accessing his inbox.
âI finally got into my emails and I found a consent form,â he acknowledged.
âThey did ask â I hadnât seen it.â
Despite this admission, Fox doubled down on his outrage, insisting that no consent had been given and confirming that he had instructed lawyers to formally write to the school demanding explanations.
âYou seek consent and you donât act until you get it,â he said.
âSchools are places to learn â not places to vaccinate children without clear permission.â
What about Billie Piper?
It remains unclear whether Billie Piper was contacted by the school or whether she provided consent â something schools typically require from at least one parent or guardian for routine vaccinations.
The lack of clarity has only intensified the controversy, with critics questioning Foxâs handling of the situation and supporters backing his stance on parental rights.
Piper has previously spoken about the challenges of co-parenting with Fox amid his increasingly controversial public persona, describing it as an experience of âenormous difficulty.â
In a 2024 interview, she said her focus was on protecting her childrenâs privacy and stability, adding:
âThey deserve not to be extensions of the parents.â
A familiar pattern of controversy
Once a respected actor from one of Britainâs most prominent acting dynasties â which includes his father James Fox and cousin Emilia Fox â Laurence Fox has spent recent years moving away from acting and into political activism.
He founded the right-wing Reclaim Party, ran unsuccessfully for London Mayor, and was later hired â then dropped â by GB News following sexist remarks. He also remarried last year, tying the knot with US podcaster Elizabeth Barker, known for promoting conspiracy theories.
Debate reignited
As criticism and debate continue to swirl, the incident has reignited national arguments around parental consent, vaccinations in schools, and institutional power.
Fox insists his stance is not anti-vaccine, but about transparency and parental authority. Critics, meanwhile, accuse him of spreading fear and misinformation.
Whatâs undeniable is this: once again, Laurence Fox has placed himself at the centre of a cultural firestorm â and the fallout is far from over.
