Andrew’s latest brutal humiliations – hanging out at caravan to bossed about by Edward

The Daily Express takes a look at some of the latest humiliating updates about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has faced further humiliation in recent weeks, following his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The disgraced former Duke of York has lost his titles, honours and home after disturbing details about his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein emerged in the latest tranche of documents released by the US. He’s always denied any wrongdoing.

Now, as the former prince is preparing to move into his new home within the Sandringham Estate, more updates have brought further shame to his name. Andrew was absent from the Royal Family’s annual Easter gathering in Windsor over the weekend.

Here, the Daily Express takes a look at some of the latest humiliating updates regarding the disgraced former Duke.

Andrew receives Prince Edward as first royal visitor since exile in Norfolk

The disgraced former Duke of York was reportedly visited by his brother, Prince Edward, for a “quiet word” about moving into his final home in exile. Andrew was whisked away to Norfolk back in February, where he is currently living in Wood Farm until renovations are complete at the nearby Marsh Farm.  But the disgraced royal appeared to be “dragging his heels” about moving into his permanent new home and met with Edward, who was meant to stay at Wood Farm but couldn’t due to his brother still being there, according to The Sun. The latest news sparked debate among royal fans, with one writing online: “He should be so lucky! He has been ‘gifted’ Wood Farm, which is worth around £60 million, and yet this mummy’s boy still behaves in an entitled manner by refusing to move. To be perfectly honest, if I were the King, I’d just send in the bailiffs and have him forcibly removed.”

Andrew was clearly pictured driving a car for the first time since his arrest in February on March 25 and April 1. The disgraced royal looked stony-faced as he drove around the Sandringham estate. In pictures shared by Bav media, Andrew was seen in his Range Rover with a security guard by his side. He was also spotted inspecting his horses in Sandringham, and before that, he was seen walking the dogs near his home.

The King’s brother was targeted by protesters at his new home in Norfolk, in what’s been described as a major security breach last week. On Maundy Thursday, a group of protesters reportedly climbed Marsh Farm’s fence before being confronted by security. In pictures taken by Bav media, four people were seen having managed to get close to the farmhouse, where Andrew was earlier seen driving to and started “shouting abuse”. They were swiftly confronted by Andrew’s security.

Andrew warned he may end up living in ‘second-hand’ caravan

Andrew was further humiliated last week, after he was warned he could end up living in a static caravan supposedly purchased for his staff if he “is not careful”. One of Andrew’s extravagant demands is said to be the rehanging of the curtains at Royal Lodge in his new home, with the King paying to have them altered at “considerable expense”, according to The Mail on Sunday.  A source warned he may end up in a £26,000 static caravan, currently resting on bricks at Marsh Farm. A source claimed to the MoS: “The King is angry because he doesn’t want to pay any more than what he has already. Andrew might end up sleeping in that caravan if he’s not careful.”

The latest blow came after prosecutors confirmed they are “providing early investigative advice” as they carry out their inquiries into Lord Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein. Aside from Andrew’s arrest on February 19, Lord Peter Mandelson, the former UK ambassador to the US, was also arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. They have both since been released under investigation. Both Lord Mandelson and Queen Elizabeth II’s second son have previously denied any wrongdoing. A CPS spokesperson said last Wednesday: “We can confirm that we are now providing early investigative advice to the Metropolitan Police Service regarding the force’s investigation into a 72-year-old man and will continue to liaise as requested. We can now also confirm that we are providing early investigative advice to Thames Valley Police regarding a 66-year-old man. We remain ready to support any investigation if needed.”
