Celebrity Big Brother stars caught on livestream just moments after Mickey Rourke axing - The Mirror

Celebrity Big Brother’s stars were filmed just moments after Mickey Rourke’s exit from the show was announced to the public in livestream footage that has since been removed from ITV’s YouTube page.

Avid fans of the ITV reality show saw how the remaining contestants reacted to the news that the Hollywood star, 72, had been forced to quit the competition after a week of controversies. While the livestream, which starts around 11pm each night, featured stock images of the Celebrity Big Brother house and the sound of birdsong for the first 40 minutes, viewers could then see the celebs emerge in the main living area dressed as pirates for a task.

The remaining housemates initially seemed downcast as they waited for the task to begin, with their audio unavailable on the stream, they seemed to perk up during the task. In a clip shared on X, the housemates can be seen cheering and waving their plastic swords in the air during the pirate challenge.

The Expendables star sparked controversy from the moment he arrived at the CBB compound, shamelessly ogling presenter AJ Odudu before entering.

He was then caught up in a homophobia scandal that resulted in a formal warning from Big Brother after telling JoJo Siwa that she “won’t be gay anymore” after a few days in the house with him, before telling other housemates: “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.”

He then told the other stars that he needed “a fag” before gesturing to JoJo and saying: “I’m not talking to you.” He was quickly pulled up on his comments by Chris Hughes before being called into the diary room to receive a formal warning.

Later on in the week, Mickey was criticised by viewers for “fat-shaming” contestant Donna Preston after telling her that she would be “better off running around the block for ten minutes” and adding: “It’s like they say, you are what you eat.”

While during Friday’s live eviction episode, viewers watched as EastEnders star Patsy Palmer burst into tears after Mickey made comments about her cooking in the house.

Fans will be relieved to hear that new reports suggest that Rourke will only be getting a fraction of his rumoured £500,000 fee after being axed.

A source told The Sun: “Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV. If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they will be discussing that with him. Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much.”

It was revealed that that the Hollywood star was removed from the house after a disagreement between him and fellow housemate Chris Hughes led to behaviour and language that was deemed threatening and aggressive.

His former housemate Michael Fabricant addressed his sudden exit from the reality show in a social media post, shortly after he was the first star to be evicted from the show last week.

Taking to X to share the news of Mickey’s removal from the show, Michael wrote: “He wanted to leave on Day One,” alongside an exclamation mark emoji
