Prince William to make major appearance in hours after Harry and Meghan bombshells
Prince William is travelling to Wales today.

The Prince of Wales will be cheering on Wales tonight as they compete in their Six Nations campaign against Italy, it has been announced. Prince William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and has regularly attended both men’s and women’s fixtures.
Wales, who look set to finish with the annual rugby contest’s wooden spoon after four defeats from their opening four games, face Italy – who beat England for the first time in their history last weekend – at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff tonight. The future King attended the Women’s Rugby World Cup contest between Wales and Fiji at Sandy Park in Exeter last year, with pictures shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Instagram showing William meeting players, shaking hands and hugging one.
The online post was captioned: “Commiserations to welshrugbyunion. You fought hard and made the nation proud.”

Last year, the Prince and Princess of Wales cheered on opposing sides at the Six Nations game between Wales and England.
While the prince is patron of the WRU, the princess holds a similar position with the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
The famously competitive couple have previously joked about supporting different teams during the tournament, with William supporting Wales and Kate rooting for England.
In 2023, William remarked it would be a “tense journey home” with his wife after a Six Nations game between the countries in Cardiff.
It follows William’s heartfelt message for Swimathon UK this morning.

The prince hailed the “hundreds of thousands of people taking part while raising millions for life-changing charities,” as the annual fundraising swimming event this year celebrates its 40th anniversary.
William said in the message: “Congratulations to Swimathon UK on 40 years of bringing people together through swimming. It’s so inspiring to see hundreds of thousands of people taking part while raising millions for life-changing charities.”
He signed the message with his initial “W”.
It follows bombshell claims made about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, some of which included the Prince of Wales, in a forthcoming royal book.
In his forthcoming book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, extracts of which have been serialised by The Times Magazine, Tom Bower delves into the reconciliation meeting between the two couples during which Meghan allegedly “snapped” at William, telling him: “If you don’t mind, get your finger out of my face.”
Mr Bower writes: “The teatime reconciliation meeting between the brothers and their wives had spun out of control. Sitting in the Cambridges’ recently redecorated 20-room Kensington Palace apartment, soon after the Sussexes returned from their honeymoon in June 2018, Harry watched the confrontation escalate.
William’s dislike of Meghan had been obvious after his warning to Harry before their engagement. ‘It’s gone too quickly,’ William had said about the speed of Harry’s relationship with ‘the American actress’. William’s suspicion of Meghan was echoed by his wife.”
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said: “Mr Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself. He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”
