One of two wanted suspects in the fatal shooting of a Fort Worth rapper and his daughter was arrested Thursday evening, according to a police official.
Forest Hill police Chief David Hernandez told The Dallas Morning News in a call just before 7 p.m. that the Texas Rangers arrested Adonis Robinson in Livingston, Texas — roughly 75 miles northeast of Houston — “around 25-30 minutes ago.” The 24-year-old, who Hernandez called “public enemy number 1″ in a press conference, is facing a capital murder charge.
“The arrest results from relentless investigation and coordination, and we would like to express our gratitude for the dedication of the Fort Worth Police Department Tactical Intelligence Unit, whose support has been pivotal in bringing Robinson into custody,” the chief said in a subsequent news release.
Robinson’s information has yet to appear in Tarrant County jail’s online records as of 7:30 p.m. It’s not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
The second capital murder suspect, 21-year-old Jakobie Russell, was still at large at the time of the interview with Hernandez.
The arrest and search followed the Monday fatal shooting of 35-year-old Ronnie Sibley — a rapper who also went by G$ Lil Ronnie — and his 5-year-old daughter R’mani Sibley at Slappy’s Car Wash in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Police said two Black men wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters exited a white four-door Kia and approached Ronnie’s car, which was parked in a bay at the car wash.
The men then “opened fire” on Ronnie and his daughter before fleeing, according to police. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
