Gigi Hadid revealed a little something about daughter Khai.
The model and former partner Zayn Malik share Khai and have notably kept her out of the public eye. But in a heartfelt birthday Instagram post for their daughter, Gigi shared Khai’s last name on September 19. The sweet post had a carousel of photos of 4-year-old Khai (face hidden) that included her birthday festivities, riding horses and playing in the water. In one photo, there is a Descendants-themed scroll that had the words “Khai Malik” inscribed.
Gigi’s Instagram caption read: “Our girl is 4 today and we celebrated all week!!! She loves animals (fantastical ones too), music, baby yoda, all things nature & bugs, Descendants, anything squishy or miniature, and if possible- will be in the water from dawn til dusk. She is curious, adventurous, loving, and oh so witty.”
She concluded her caption with: “Khai- it is my life’s greatest joy and pride to be your mama!!!! Thank you for the four best years of my life- you remind me to live life to the fullest every day, in the most simple & beautiful ways. Your possibilities are endless, my sweetest love !!!! YODA BEST”

Fans especially of the former One Direction member were so excited by the reveal. They took to the comments under the 29-year-old Next in Fashion host’s post to express their love of Khai’s full name and also what appeared to a reference to Zayn’s 2017 track Dusk Till Dawn.
One fan wrote: “Khai Malik, Our girl, dusk till dawn I am really feeling something.” A second said: “‘OUR GIRL’ DAWN TILL DUSK’ ‘KHAI MALIK’ STOP I’M CRYING” Another said: the way she’s growing up mashallah happy birthday to her she’s incredibly the luckiest person for the parents she has” A fourth said: “‘Khai Malik’ she’s so lucky!!”
Zayn also made a touching birthday tribute on Instagram on September 13. He posted a photo of him and Khai on the beach with their backs turned to the camera as he held her and they looked at the water.

Zayn and Gigi dated between 2015 to 2021. They had an on-again/off-again relationship spanning six years. The pair welcomed their daughter in September 2020. Although the pair has split and had a rocky end with drama involving her mother Yolanda Hadid, they appear amicable and are co-parenting Khai.
