An adorable photo of Princess Charlotte cuddling up to her father, the Prince of Wales, was released to mark the double celebrations of Father’s Day and William’s 44th birthday. The sweet photograph, taken by trusted royal photographer Matt Porteous, shows the future King with his arm around his 11-year-old daughter, following last week’s Trooping the Colou
The young royal is cuddling close to her father, who is wearing his bright red scarlet dress uniform as colonel of the Welsh Guards. Charlotte is wearing an off-white Alessandra Rich dress featuring appliqué detail and a statement bow at the nape of her neck.
Father and daughter pose for the image in the garden of Kensington Palace, having returned to their official London residence following the conclusion of the King’s annual birthday parade.
A personal message, written by the Princess of Wales and the three children, reads: “Happy birthday and Father’s Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much. C, G, C & L.” A pink heart emoji accompanies the message.
Fans were delighted to see the picture, with many remarking that Charlotte is her father’s “mini me” due to their likeness.
Today is a double celebration for the Prince, as his birthday falls on Father’s Day. The family will likely be spending the day celebrating in the sunshine.
William’s football team Aston Villa marked the occasion by sharing a photo of the prince with manager Unai Emery following their Europa League win last month.

Earlier on Sunday, the King marked the day by paying tribute to his late father, the Duke of Edinburgh, by sharing a throwback photo of the father and son.
The snap shows Prince Philip proudly standing beside his son, Charles, as he receives his wings at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire on August 20, 1971.
The Duke was Marshal of the Royal Air Force at the time, an honour that Queen Elizabeth II later bestowed on her oldest son.
A message accompanying the photo read: “Celebrating all Fathers, and thinking of those who wish they could be with their Dads, today.”
