Recent updates from @idiscoverstars‘ Instagram handle have revealed Lucas Coly’s true wishes and intentions regarding his music career before his demise. In the post, an edited photo was captioned, “Lucas wanted to do crossover music. He loved creating music. Algorithms made it hard for us to promote organically. Since he was part African, he stepped into Afrobeats. This song is called ‘Problems’ Ft Kamillion and CurtdaRula.”

The same thing was mentioned in the post’s caption as well, which read: “Lucas wanted to be a crossover artist. The truth is these algorithms make it so hard for artists to push their music to their supporters. […] Lucas never got radio play and refused to sell out. It hurts seeing all the press he’s getting now. We wanted that while he was here. But being non-problematic isn’t press worthy.”

Last but not the least, before signing off his Instagram for a “social media break” as he needs “some time to process everything,” the manager went on to encourage fans and music lovers to keep Coly’s “dream alive” and finally have the “once in a generation talent’s” works top the charts, the way he wanted. “It would be a dream of mine if we can all get together and stream his songs until we can chart,” wrote the manager.

With all of this being put out there, as heartbreaking as it is, Lucas Coly has indeed left this world behind, and the truth behind his extreme decision to take his life is yet to be unveiled. Nonetheless, the singer’s musical charms will inevitably continue his legacy and leave his fans and music lovers entertained to the core for a long time to come.
