Liam Payne’s neuropsychiatrist had expressed that she was unable to continue treating the late One Direction star and explained how mixing booze and his antidepressants could be fatal
Liam Payne’s doctor had issued him a chilling warning before his tragic death.
Last month, the tragically passed away aged just 31. The former One Direction star was holidaying in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he fell from the third floor of a hotel. An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall which caused “multiple traumatic injuries” and subsequently led to “internal and external haemorrhage.”
However, officials in Argentina still remain “undetermined” about the events leading up to Liam’s heartbreaking death. On Tuesday, it emerged that that local law enforcements had been probing five people after two more workers at the hotel Liam was staying at have officially been put under investigation. One of the new suspects has been named locally as a chief receptionist at the hotel who made a 999 call requesting urgent medical assistance for Liam before he plunged to his death from his third-floor balcony and was among a trio of men pictured carrying him up to his room shortly before the tragedy. Meanwhile, the second is head of security.
Those being investigated have been named as Roger Nores, Braian Paiz, hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra, hotel secutity Esteban Reynaldo Grassi and manager Gilda Martín. Meanwhile, footage of Liam’s fall which was captured on CCTV will now be reviewed – eight weeks after his death. Authorities will examine the video which had previously not been shared.
Now, new reports claim that Liam’s neuropsychiatrist had sent a note to his friend Roger Nores stating that she was unable to treat the star. In the note, sent just weeks before Liam’s death, she advised that his treatment was no longer able to continue and stated that mixing alcohol with antidepressants could have fatal consequences. The email emerged after Liam’s dad, Geoff Payne, had emailed the Argentinian courts about the note.

The NHS website states that those on antidepressants should be “wary” of drinking alcohol. They add that alcohol is a “depressant” and drinking it could worsen symptoms. “You’re less likely to experience unpleasant or unpredictable effects if you drink alcohol while taking an SSRI or a serotonin-noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressant, but avoiding alcohol is often still recommended,” it states.
Meanwhile, antidepressants including tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) may see the person become drowsy or dizzy. Just months before Liam’s death, he had checked into rehab in a brave bid to overcome his addictions. The global mega star had previously spoken openly about his struggles and had confided in former Top Gear host, Paddy McGuinness, about his addictions.
It was previously claimed that the Teardrops singer had signed up for the £5,000 a night The Priory in London and had started a detox programme. “Family and management did everything they could, Liam was loved, adored and incredibly talented,” a source told The Sun.

They added that he “couldn’t beat his demons” despite everyone “rooting for him.” “He confronted his issues head-on, hoping to get back on track,” they added.
After his tragic death, initial reports claimed that he had traces of pink cocaine in his system. The UK Addiction Treatment Centres state that despite the name, pink cocaine doesn’t contain the substance. Instead, it is made up of several substances including MDMA, ketamine and 2C-B and is usually distributed as a powder or as a pill.
However, on November 7, a press release from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office said that the singer’s toxicological results were shared with his family and showed that he had traces of “alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants” in his system. The release said: “This conclusion was reached after the complete toxicology tests on urine, blood and vitreous humor.”
In a fresh update, two more individuals are being probed by law enforcements and are believed to be being interviewed in the coming days, via Zoom. Local news outlet Infobae did not say what criminal charges the hotel employees could face if the judge rules that there is enough evidence to formally accuse them of wrong doing.
Local reports last week said prosecutors were considering bringing manslaughter charges against the hotel employees filmed carrying Liam out of the lobby shortly before his drink and drug-fuelled balcony plunge.
