There are three controversial couples on 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2 who likely know their relationships have no hope but joined the show to enjoy themselves and potentially increase their fame. The spin-off show was first introduced in August 2023 with five couples. During the first season, marriage counseling did help some cast members resolve their issues with their partners. However, cast members such as Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa and Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown ultimately decided to end their relationships and move forward.
Considering the success of the first season, the spin-off has returned with some new couples who have been facing relationship issues and seeking therapy to overcome them. 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2 premiered in December with six new couples. One of the couples, Julia Trubkina and Brandon Gibbs, are struggling to agree on having a baby. Additionally, Brandon doesn’t support his wife in bringing her parents from Russia to the United States. Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj also have trust issues that may be addressed and resolved during the three-week retreat in Arizona.
Jasmine Pineda & Gino Palazzolo
The Love Between Jasmine & Gino Has Already Faded Away
However, there are a few couples who are likely aware their relationships aren’t going to work out but have joined the season for ulterior motives. One of those couples is Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo. Judging by the couple’s behavior during the season, it looks like the love between them has died.
They seem to have already given up on resolving their marital issues and aren’t willing to make any compromises to save their marriage. The recent episode revealed that Jasmine has formed an emotional connection with her male friend, Matt Branis. Jasmine has been keeping this controversial friendship with Matt a secret from Gino.
At the same time, Gino doesn’t find Jasmine attractive anymore due to her aggressive attitude, and she knows their intimacy issues won’t be resolved in the next three weeks. Still, the couple participated in the season, seemingly misusing this opportunity to be on TV. Most fans believe Gino and Jasmine have already split, and one fan even commented on Reddit (via @astann87), “they got a free trip out of it. They just had to turn it on when the cameras were rolling.”
Josh Weinstein & Natalie Mordovtseva
Josh Is Already Eyeing Sophie With Interest
Many viewers are also unhappy to see Josh Weinstein and Natalie Mordovtseva in the new season because they aren’t married like the other five couples on the retreat.
Since Natalie’s career as an actor and model hasn’t reached the heights she had hoped for, it looks like she joined this season with Josh to maintain a steady income from the franchise and stay in the spotlight. She has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with her boyfriend for three years and is very well aware that he isn’t prepared to be in a serious, committed relationship.
Like Natalie, Josh appears to have ulterior motives for joining the season. Despite being an established businessman, he seemed very interested in being in the spotlight. Before coming to the retreat, his interactions with his co-star, Sophie Sierra, suggest that he has little interest in making his relationship with Natalie successful. A Redditor accused Natalie of joining the show with a hidden agenda, stating (via @autumnlover1515), “trying to be relevant and keep the paycheck.” Someone else wrote, “she wanted to be an actress, and is settling for this. they are both in on the ruse to stay relevant.”
Ariela Weinberg & Biniyam Shibre
Biniyam Is Solely Focused On Recovering His Passwords From Ariela
Ariela Weinberg’s marriage to Biniyam Shibre was never healthy, and they now realize their relationship isn’t going to work. Ariela has given the relationship a chance by trying to resolve their differences. However, Biniyam seems to have moved on and is treating this season as a filming opportunity to have fun with his 90 Day Fiancé co-stars while trying to retrieve his social media passwords. Although there may not be hope for these three couples, 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2 hopefully helps them break the cycle of constant breakups and makeups.
