The ’13 Going on 30′ costars reunited at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony Thursday

Mark Ruffalo was immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard with help from Jennifer Garner.

In Los Angeles on Thursday, the Avengers actor, 56, was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Garner, his costar from 2004’s 13 Going on 30 and 2022’s The Adam Project, attended the event to pay tribute. (Garner, 51, got a star on the Walk of Fame in 2018.) As Garner made way to the podium, she and Ruffalo laughed as they did part of the “Thriller” dance, a callback to a scene from their rom-com.

“How lucky are we to have been in a movie that kids are still dressing up as for Halloween?” said Garner in her speech, before listing some of Ruffalo’s other leading ladies: “I wonder if my colleagues Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth [Paltrow], Keira Knightley — I wonder if they would agree that Mark owes this rom-com success to the scruffy hair, the untucked, cute button down, both of which became the norm for cute guys everywhere for the next 20 years.”

“I wonder if these esteemed ladies enjoyed Mark’s anxiety as much as I did?” she continued. “I wonder if he tried to drop out of their films like he did out of ours after the first rehearsal of the ‘Thriller’ dance, where Mark went from kind of shocked that we actually had to do this to antsy to deathly quiet to ‘Bro, this is not for me.’ “

Garner later added, “To work with you, Mark, is to love you, I don’t care what anyone says.”

“You allow yourself to be fully known by your colleagues, by the audience, by the world,” she said. “Your work on Poor Things deserves all of the awards, all of them. But the real success is in how thrilled and delighted your colleagues are to have the opportunity to lift you up and celebrate you. Every time your name is called, Hollywood takes a deep collective breath and says, ‘Okay, the good and right thing has happened.’ “

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also attended the ceremony, plus actors Barry Keoghan and Lili Reinhart, and Avengers director Joss Whedon.

Ruffalo recently appeared at his Poor Things costar Willem Dafoe’s Walk of Fame star ceremony in January. He is currently nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the upcoming 96th Academy Awards ceremony for costarring with Dafoe, 68, and Emma Stone in that movie. Allen) in 1987 whose wish to become “30, flirty and thriving” is granted. She wakes up in New York City circa 2004 as an adult (Garner). Ruffalo plays her love interest, Matty.
