Bobby Flay had a lot to celebrate on Tuesday – he was the first chef to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

But a prank threatened to put a damper on the day: A banner with the word “CHEATER” flew in the sky over Flay’s head, though the grill master didn’t seem to see it.

The ceremony marked Flay’s first public appearance since he filed for divorce from wife Stephanie March in April. The former couple – whose split quickly turned contentious, with allegations that Flay cheated on the Law & Order: SVU actress – tied the knot 10 years ago after dating for four years. It is Flay’s third divorce.

Flay, 50, was joined by his mom Dorothy, along with his 19-year-old daughter Sophie – who said a few sweet words about her dad’s achievement – as well as his ex-wife, Sophie’s mom Kate Connelly. The Chew co-host Michael Symon and the Food Network president Brooke Johnson were also on hand to give speeches.

“I just want to make sure that everybody understands – because I know there’s been a little confusion – I am not getting this star for my cameos in Entourage,” Flay joked. “I know there’s a little debate about that, but honestly, to be the first chef to get a star is really, truly an amazing milestone.”

And the Food Network star couldn t help but share his accomplishment with his daughter. “I need to dedicate this truly honorable moment to the most important person in my life, my daughter Sophie,” he said.

He added, “I look forward to watching you build your own star – the star of life, passion and happiness, because really what more can we ask for? Love, Dad.”
