A high-end Sydney restaurant has shared one customer’s vile act on social media.
Pony Dining in The Rocks shared footage of the horrifying act after guests refused to pay for their food, claiming they found a hair in it.
The CCTV footage, however, reveals a different story.

The clip shared to Instagram shows the family of six sitting at a table with numerous dishes laid out in front of them.
A man in a white t-shirt can be seen reaching into his armpit, pulling out a hair and inspecting it.
He then goes back in and pulls out another hair, before carefully placing it on the meal in front of him.
The restaurant posted the disturbing footage, with the caption: “We don’t usually share content like this.”
“After the meal was served, the guest later raised a complaint regarding a hair in their meal and declined payment for all the food,” the post read.
“During the interaction, our team also experienced inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour.”
Pony Dining added that they formally reported the incident and shared the video to “raise awareness for fellow hospitality venues.”
The high-end restaurant is located in The Rocks — an area right on the edge of Sydney Harbour — and specialises in premium, dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood.
“They ordered a lot of food including a Tomahawk,” Pony Dining told The Nightly. “We tried to make them pay but he refused.”
“We called the police however at that time we didn’t have the footage so police advised it was a civil problem and nothing they can do at that stage. So they paid for drinks then left.”
The footage quickly went viral, leaving commenters stunned at the appalling act.
One person said: “WILD… and the girls licking plates wtf”.
“Yep!! We see it in our restaurant!!”, said another. “Customers are NOT always right nor nice… this is repulsive”.
Pony Dining added to the post and said, “We understand this isn’t pleasant to watch.
“We appreciate the kind messages and support for our team. Hospitality can be tough, and we hope all venues feel empowered to protect their teams.”
The restaurant said they have reported the incident to police, who are looking for the customers.
