rincess Eugenie appeared to snub her mum, Sarah Ferguson, on her birthday this week amid the continuing Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The Duchess of York has come under fire recently after an email resurfaced last month, revealing that she once referred to late convicted sex offender Epstein as a “supreme friend”, sent just weeks after she publicly vowed to cut ties with him.
Several charities have since dropped the duchess as patron.

Sarah Ferguson celebrates 66th birthday
On Wednesday (October 15), Fergie celebrated her 66th birthday.
In previous years, it has been a tradition for Princess Eugenie, Sarah’s youngest daughter with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, to publicly share her birthday wishes.
Last year, Eugenie posted a gushing tribute to her mum on her verified Instagram page.
“Happy birthday to my beautiful mumma,” she captioned a selection of photos of the duchess. “So proud of the Grannie you are, the mum you are and the woman you are. You’re an inspiration and our endless chats bring me so much happiness and incredible support.”
Earlier this year, she also honoured her mum on both Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day.

“Happy International Women’s Day to all women out there. So much admiration for my dear mum and sister who guide me through life,” she captioned a cute selfie with Sarah and Beatrice.
However this year, there was a noticeable silence from Sarah’s youngest, with no public show of birthday wishes.

Rare royal engagement for Princess Eugenie
However, it was an exciting week for Princess Eugenie as she played her part in the official state visit of the Jordanian royal family.
King Charles’ niece joined Princess Rajwa of Jordan for a tour of Springfield University Hospital and St. George’s Mental Health NHS trust, exploring how the charity incorporates art into mental health treatment.
The pair then visited Hauser & Wirth Contemporary Art Gallery, where Eugenie has worked as a director since 2017.
“It was an absolute pleasure to visit Springfield University Hospital at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS trust with Princess Rajwa al Hussein in London on Monday,” Eugenie shared some snaps from the event. “We viewed a number of artworks created as part of an initiative by the charity Hospital Rooms, which integrates art into mental health care environments.”
She continued: “Their mission is to commission leading international artists to produce permanent, high-quality works for mental health wards across the UK’s National Health Service, helping create welcoming and uplifting spaces for patients. Truly beautiful. Thank you for having us.”
