Prince William and King Charles have reportedly enjoyed some time together this week at Balmoral Castle. On Tuesday, the Prince of Wales, 43, was seen arriving at Aberdeen airport after a joint engagement in Southport with his wife, Princess Kate.

It is believed he was then taken from the airport to Balmoral Castle, where his father King Charles, 76, is staying until the end of September. While William’s visit to Balmoral has not been publicly announced, it is widely reported that the first-in-line to the throne spends some time at the Scottish castle with his father every year, and has done ever since Charles became King in 2022.

It is believed that the father and son spent a few quality days together, chatting about royal work, duty, and other matters.

As reported by The Telegraph and various other publications, the mini-break is time for just the two of them to discuss important matters.

It is the second time William has travelled up to Balmoral within the last few months, with the future King having also spent some of the summer holidays at the castle with the wider Royal Family.

On this previous trip, believed to have been at the end of August, William was accompanied by his wife, Princess Kate and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

It is something the family do yearly, with Balmoral Castle being a place for the King to host the royals over the summer for some much-needed quality time away from the spotlight.

Although the King has returned to royal duty since the end of the summer holidays, he is believed to be set to stay at Balmoral until the end of the month.

The King and Prince William are unlikely to disclose any information from their few days together, which comes just weeks after the King reunited with his other son Prince Harry, 41, after more than a year apart.

Prince William did not join this meeting and is believed to have no interest in reuniting with his estranged brother, who quit royal life in 2020 and has criticised the Royal Family since.
