Renovation efforts are progressing at a Norfolk property where Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to relocate, according to reports.

Workers have erected a two-metre wooden barrier around part of Marsh Farm in Wolferton, shielding areas where the existing hedgerow provides insufficient cover.

Activity was visible at the site on Thursday, with an upstairs light illuminated in the main residence, and individuals spotted moving about inside.

Construction equipment was operating on the grounds, whilst a labourer was observed travelling between the principal building and an adjacent outbuilding.

The Sun has reported that the estate property is being prepared for the former prince’s anticipated move.

Marsh Farm sits approximately two miles from Sandringham House, the King’s Norfolk residence.

The property has stood unoccupied for a number of years and requires substantial work before it can serve as a suitable dwelling.

Preparations are now underway to render the building habitable ahead of Andrew’s anticipated relocation to the estate.

The move comes after Andrew was compelled to vacate Royal Lodge, his previous home in Windsor.

Public anger erupted when it became known that he had been paying only a nominal rent for the substantial Windsor property, ultimately forcing him to relinquish the residence.

The controversy centred on revelations that he had been paying a peppercorn rent for the Windsor residence, sparking public outcry.
